Meet local heroJeppe Vedel
We are very happy to count Jeppe Vedel in our ranks. He is a creative extraordinaire and passionate about the creative community in Aarhus. So much so that aside from his own agency, he is running the co-working space LYNfabrikken in its 14th year!
LYNfabrikken means the lightning factory in Danish. And they sure struck Aarhus with the bright lightning of 50 young entrepreneurs when they took over the disused industrial space in 2002. Since then, the factory has produced thunder and lightning for Aarhus in form of an exhibition space, a talk series, a coffee bar, meeting spaces and ever more entrepreneursfindingahomeatL Nfabrikken.
If you want to meet an aarhusian able to span the arch from individual creativity to city lev-el, Jeppe is your man! When we spoke to him about Creativity World Forum, he could not choose one over the other. Therefore, we have the great priviledge that Jeppe will host a challenge at LYNfabrikken AND a local dinner AND will be at the forum throughout.Catch him if you can!
Creativity to Jeppe is: ‘The courage to walk down the unknown path’
www.lynfabrikken.dk
Jeppe: “Intimate and playful
meetings. Knowledge is pleasure - Remember to play.”
Jorge: “I’m interested in the
future of the creative cities. Lets look ahead. ”
Caroline: “I would go to get new
connections, experience provocative ideas and work
in small groups, with interesting people.”
Thomas: “How do we create and
develop the creative city?
Michael:“Great keynotes are fine, but what I really want is to meet in more private
settings.”
Christian:“I want something that
is only available for those who attended the
conference.”
Lene:“I want it intimate. Dinner meetings.
I want time to breathe and explore.”
Lasse:“It’s all about
courage for me! Lets make the bold choices for our city.”
Christoph:“I want to experience the
local flavor of creative entrepreneurs. Show me
what Aarhus got.”
Oliver:“I would like to meet
people and get to know the city. Week long
creative working lab? ”Troels:
“I want to be seen! And meet new interesting
people.”
Charlotte:“If I should go to Aarhus,
I want to see the city. Why Aarhus?”
Piers: “It’s all about who you meet, surprise me!”

Target groupsPublic institutions We will target three main groups, namely public institutions and civil servants, creative professionals and researchers. This three-pronged approach creates a diverse mix of participants and a unique opportunity for Creativity World Forum in Aarhus to be the place for meaning full meatings.
What is in it for them? What they have in common is an openness toward next practice and a curiosity of how things actually work. Staff from public insti-tutions, including local authorities, cultural institutions and civil servants, will come to findlike-mindedpeopleandinspiration.
Creative professionalsCreative professionals include people em-ployed in the traditional creative industries, entrepreneurs and freelancers practitioners looking for the role of arts and culture in societal change.
ResearchersResearchers comprise academic staff, PhD candidates and researchers, all working on creativity and interested in the application of their research and the meeting with practitioners and decision-makers.
Following the motto make it matter to more, our outreach strategy is content co-creation, before and during the forum. In other words, conference bottom-up!
