Culture code selection is available

• The selection of a Culture Code will

set the international defaults for date format,

currency symbol, and

verbiage for

City, State, Zip and

Sales Tax

• Available under Setup->Association

Information.

Tips on selecting your Culture Code

• If your date format, currency symbol, and verbiage

for city, state, zip and sales tax are already as you

desire, no action is necessary.

• If you need a different setting for any of these, first,

pick the Culture Code based on the date format

that you desire - either mm/dd/yyyy or

dd/mm/yyyy.

• When picking a Culture Code, a set of defaults for

currency symbol and verbiage for City, State, Zip

and Sales Tax will apply. Click the Advanced tab or

Advanced link to enter desired override values.

Culture Code and Default Date Formats

• Picking the Culture Code will determine the date style that will appear in your

back office software, in the public modules, and in the Member Information

Center (MIC).

• All public and MIC dates appear in the selected format

• Select few back office locations in the back office for staff remain in the

mm/dd/yyyy format regardless of the selection made.

Culture Code Determines Default Country Values

Defaults applied based on Culture Code selection:

Overriding Country Defaults1. Select your Culture Code base on your

Currency symbol updated in back office

• The Currency symbol is

updated at all locations in

the back office software

• Staff will now see the

appropriate currency

symbol.

• Prior to this release (Jan 2016), the members and the public were seeing the

correct symbol but now the staff will see the correct symbol too.

• Locations updated include: Event Guest List (Fee Amount column),

Member Benefit report, Groups->Fees tab, Events->Account tab, Add New

Member and Add New Event wizards.

Verbiage used for Sales Tax

• If another phrase is used in your country

for Sales Tax, such VAT, enter your

phrase in the Advanced tab under

Setup->Association Information.

• Locations updated include: • Invoice and Sales Receipt screens,

Tax Summary report,

and Tax Setup screens.

Note: Presently, the en-IE (Ireland) Culture Code defaults to VAT already but all other Culture Codes would need to have an alternate value in the Advanced tab in order to be overridden.

If you are located in a time zone outside the US

• Locations in the software that

automatically populate with

today's date will always

populate today’s date for you

as well, based on the time zone

selection under Setup-

>Association Information.

• Locations updated include the default

date when creating an invoice,

payment, receipt, credit, deposit or

statements, logging a new

communication note, and default

dates on other billing reports.

Locations where server time is always used

• Because the server location is

in Central time zone (-06:00

GMT), there are certain

locations where logging

displays in server time.• Emails sent

• Member Record Update report

• Website hit stats

Note: When viewing Communication history, you can click into the email to view the date/time in your own time zone.

Geocoding of international addresses

• If your Country setting under Setup->Association Information is set to any

non-US country, then Address Line 2 will

appear as an option on the Members->Web tab in the Search Results Map Information section.

• Address Line 2 will automatically be

included in the address that is geocoded

with the Google Map location.

Note: US customers that need to include additional info (Address line 2 info) can append this information after Address Line 1 information in the Street field. Many US address include PO Boxes and Apartment # in Address line 2 which is not successfully geo-coded and thus was excluded from the automatic geo-code fields at this location.

Geocoding is when address information is provided to Google maps so that map coordinates may be identified.
