P&C plays a vital role for our school, raising funds and assisting with other essential tasks. Please join our P&C and help make our school the best it can be.

First at SchoolA reminder that children should not arrive until 8:45am unless this is unavoidable. Teachers are not on duty until this time and therefore there is no direct playground supervision. If your child must be at school early, please remind them that they should hang their bag up outside their classroom and walk to the silver seats at the assembly area. They are to remain seated here until the teacher arrives for playground duty.

Program and Resource FeeThank to those families who have already paid or made arrangements to make regular payments towards their children’s Resources and Program Fee. Costs for this year are:

1st child at school $80.00 2nd child at school $75.00 3rd child at school $70.00 4th child at school $65.00

Don’t forget payments can be made using Eftpos at the school office or by using the online payment facility via the school website.

Every Day is ImportantA reminder that daily attendance at school is vital to consolidate learning. It is a NSW Department of Education policy that students have greater than 85% attendance at school. If you know in advance that your child will be absent from school, please send a note explaining the reason for the absence. Otherwise a text will be sent from the school on the day. A reply text to this is sufficient. You can also notify the school using our school app or by phone. The Home School Liaison Officer will check absences and late arrivals regularly and contact parents and carers where necessary.

It’s Not Just NutsTo ensure the safety of students with an allergy to nut products, we ask that children do not bring nuts or products containing nuts to school. Thank you for helping to keep our children safe.

Look Left Look RightPlease be aware that the police are patrolling our school crossing to ensure the safety of everyone. Please ensure that anyone using the crossing is completely off the crossing before driving on.

Yours in Education

Craig AllibonPRINCIPAL

Class Dojo winners - Week 2: Ariel Disher, Kolt Lauritzen, Tatum Shoemark and Kayla Schultz. Week 3: Callum Moore, Flynn Jennings and Ida Howard.

Class 1-2Wow!! Week 4 already! I am looking forward to seeing everyone at Parent Teacher interviews this week. If you haven’t already booked in, send me a message on Class Dojo and we can work out a suitable time. Don’t forget library is every Thursday and students will need to bring a library bag (or a plastic bag is fine). Well done to our Class Dojo winners over the last two weeks - Week 2: Piper, Harper, Indy, Issak and Makayla. Week 3: Piper, Harper, Charlie-May, Makayla and Matilda. I hope you enjoy your rewards.

Class 2-3Class 2-3 have been working hard and are settling in nicely. We had lots of fun participating in the Swimming Carnival in Week 2. Congratulations to those who have progressed onto the Southern Riverina PSSA Swimming Carnival. In Week 2 we also had our first Class Dojo winners: Zac Howard, Jarvis Chapple and Evelyn Dowell. Week 3 winners: Rebecca Lindley, Ruby Butterworth and Zac Howard. Congratulations to our elected SRC representatives Zac Howard and Sophie Howard. Students have been working hard on their writing and have written a book review, we would love you to ask us what books we can recommend!

Class 4-5We have had a great start to the year in Class 4-5 and all the students are enjoying our learning units for this term. We have been reading ‘The Indian in the Cupboard’ and watching the movie as well. Home learning has started and is handed out on Monday and is to be returned on Friday. Congratulations to all of our Class Dojo winners for the first few weeks back at school.

Class 5-6 Class 5-6 have had a busy start to the year. We have our regular learning, as well as swimming for sport and music happening this term. Notes and money are required by Friday 22 February if you would like your child to order a Year 6 shirt. Parent/teacher interviews are happening this week. What a great time to come in and set some goals for your child to achieve in 2019. We need parents to come in and be engaged and active in their child’s learning. Remember, ‘Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much’.
