Setting Aims/Goals

• What do you want your students to achieve?

• How do you choose your goals?

• How do you reach your goals?

• Why is it so important with goals when you teach?

• Are the aims realistic, relevant, understandable (SMART)

• Which signs show that you are on the right track

• When is the project a success?

• Are you able to evaluate the aims?

About Evaluation

• How to evaluate and international project: General information

• Two ways to evaluate a project:• 1 a summative evaluation• 2 a formative evaluation.

• The summative way to evaluate:• Every student is evaluated to sum up the results of his/her learning process. The

evaluation is a typical test or exam used at the end of the project work.

• The formative way to evaluate• Every student is evaluated due to how he/she can benefit for the project and how he/she

can go on developing his/her competences. The evaluation is currently taking place during the project work.

About Evaluation

• The formative way of evaluating a project.• Every student is evaluated due to how he/she can benefit for this project and how he/she

can go on developping his/her competences. The evaluation is currently taking place during the project work.

• How does formative evaluation work in practice

• Observation of the students’ work – teachers notes• Discussions with the class, groups or a single student during the project work• Products made by the students. • Workshops or video recordings – used for the student’s own evaluation.

• Find the best way to evaluate your project idea.
