Through my architecture I seek to provide experiences that evoke sensation. Colors, textures, reflec-tions are common elements in this body of work.

The art pieces featured are meant to reinforce these concepts. Archi-tecture and art are the practices of engaging all our senses and responding back to the world.

LandscapeHotelThis boutique hotel is located at Chile’s Vina del Mar. The main concept of this work is respecting the oceanic seascape, to blend in harmony with the surroundings instead of towering over the beach and casting a large shadow like the other high-rises that line the coast.

Vina del Mar is the center for Latin American music and very popular with young profes-sionals and tourists. For this reason the de-sign is lively, different, and the interiors give the feeling of being “on set” at a concert.

The design is created by nested diagrids, creating a layered exterior shell.

Earthquakes are a common occurrence in Chile. The diagrids provide a repetitious structure, and the base isolator helps guard the foundation against the sands’ possible liquefaction during a quake.

Fenway Park HotelThis boutique hotel features forty rooms, a green-house, and a dinner theatre. The program of this building was designed to make Boston’s Fenway dis-trict more than just a place to catch a game, but also a place to be frequented off-season. The split building concept was derived from striving to be a friendly neighbor to the apartments behind the site.Spring ‘10

National School of Drama

This School of Drama is set in New Delhi, India. It wraps around a historically significant Indian palace. My design looks to Indian culture by incorporating color and screening. It also seeks to bring this ancientculture into modern day by looking to the drama of itsperforming arts and reflecting that into the architec-ture by allowing the forms to curve and flow.

The campus features an Academic Building linked via a skywalk to the Performance Building as well as a Hostel where the students live.Fall ‘10

The Hostel (dorm) is a place to break from the drama of a performance school. Its design is more rectilinear to encourage simplicity, introspectiveness, and rest for the students that live here.
