Drama Department to Present Cash on DeliveryThe Drama Department will present the play Cash on Delivery on November 20 and 21 at 7:30 PM.

This fast paced British farce concerns a con artist who has duped the welfare authorities for years by claiming every type of benefit for the innumerable people he claims live at his address. He’s sent scrambling when welfare investigators show up and he is forced to prove all of his boarders are in fact real. A hilarious comedy full of mistaken identities, slamming doors, and a con that spirals out of control.

Tickets are on sale now: $14 reserved seating, $12 general admission adult and $7 general admission student. Tickets also will be available at the door.

For tickets or information, contact Tony Brill, FPA Director, or send payment and a SASE to Mr. Brill at 650 Juliette Avenue, Lancaster, PA 17601.

Tri-M Bon-Ton Community Days FundraiserLancaster Catholic High School’s Tri-M Music Honors Society is selling Bon-Ton Community Days coupon booklets to raise funds for their 2015-2016 community service project, Brittany’s Hope Foundation.

Coupons may be redeemed at any Bon-Ton location from November 11-14 during the special Community Days event. Booklets contain exclusive savings and incentives perfect for early Christmas shopping.

The booklets are available for $5 and all proceeds from the sale of the booklets will go directly toward the service project. Purchase booklets from any Tri-M member. Parents may also purchase booklets by sending $5 to Tony Brill, Tri-M Faculty Advisor, at LCHS and bookets will be sent home with students.

Brittany’s Hope Foundation, located in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, is dedicated to aiding and facilitating adoption of special needs children from around the world.

The LCHS Respect Life Club is sponsoring its annual Thanksgiving Food Drive. Nonperishable foods, frozen turkeys, supermarket turkey certificates and monetary donations will be collected in homerooms and accepted in the Main Office November 2-23. The collected food will be blessed at the LCHS Thanksgiving Mass on November 24 and then delivered to needy families.

An important aspect of the academic program at Lancaster Catholic High School is that we are accredited by the Middle States Association of Schools and Colleges. Our first accreditation was awarded in 1936. What does this mean to you? Accreditation by an internationally recognized organization gives an added value to an LCHS diploma. Colleges and universities know that an accredited school has been reviewed by an outside organization and that the school meets certain academic standards.

To be accredited, every seven years Lancaster Catholic must conduct a self-study. This is in preparation for a visiting team of educators coming to the school to evaluate and review our programs. This school year we are conducting our self-study. The projected Evaluation Team visit is fall 2016.

As part of this self-study process we must survey our stakeholders. Our parents and students are our most important stakeholders. Below is a link to a Survey Monkey® parent survey. Please take time to complete the survey. The survey will also be available on the For Parents page of the LCHS website until FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 20.

Students may access the student survey from the For Student page of the LC website, beginning Friday, November 6.The results of the survey will give the faculty important information to use in determining our goals and objectives for the next seven years.

If you have any questions about this process please feel free to contact Miss Susan Martin, Middle States Facilitator at [email protected]. Thank you in advance for giving your time to this important task.
