Cruelty-Free

Beauty ChecklistI decided to go cruelty-free 5 years ago. My first thought was, "I'm so happy I'll behelping animals!" My second thought was, "Oh my god; where do I start?"

While I certainly hope you have that first thought and that it stays with youforever, I'd like to alleviate the anxiety that the second thought brings with it withthis Going Cruelty-Free Checklist.

Whether you want to purge all of your animal-tested products right this instant oryou want to replace your animal-tested products with cruelty-free versions one-by-one, a checklist is a great way to keep track of everything you've replaced anditems you still need to buy.

How to use:

As you do research, watch YouTube reviews, and read cruelty-free beauty blogposts, write down some brands or specific products that interest you in the linesunder each beauty item listed below.

For example, under "Shampoo," my personal favorite brands are Pacifica,Giovanni, and Alba Botanica. I would suggest either typing over these lines orprinting out this checklist and using pencil so you can make changes as youdiscover more products.

Once you've decided which one you'd like to try or which one works best for youof the brands you've tried, check off "Shampoo," or whichever item you're workingto replace with a cruelty-free option.

I hope this checklist makes the wonderful journey to living a cruelty-free lifeeasier for you. Whether it takes you a week, a month, or a year, know that you aremaking a positive step forward and saving lives with each box you check off.

Don't forget to check out thekindofbeauty.com for reviews of my cruelty-free andvegan beauty favorites. Have fun and thank you for being kind!
