Treasure Chest

The Community donates items that they may not need or want anymore, which we are very thankful for! The clients and supervisor then sort through all the donations to see what is in good shape and able to be resold.

Treasure Chest

Providing affordable clothing to those who are looking for jobs, need appropriate attire for going to work or attending school also helps support them in improving their quality of life.

Once a client completes our program we try to place them on a job in the community, but if we can hire them we will.

Cutting Rags

The clothes that are not able to be sold in the store due to not being in good condition are sent to the back and cut up for rags. These rags are sold in 25 pound boxes for $18.

Charity Shoes/ Clothing

These bails are shipped to Dallas, Texas then sent to 3 world Countries.

Addison Shoe Company Scrap leather is picked up from addision every

morning. This woman is cutting heel pads out of this scrap leather, which will be sold back to addision.

ONCE THE HEEL PADS ARE CUT OUT THEY ARE THEN INSPECTED FOR QUALITY AND BUNDLED IN A CASE OF 24.

Recycling of cans

Workshop receives cans from the general population. The clients will weigh the cans and make a receipt for the office to pay the customer.

The community will bring magazines, which the clients will tear the pages out.

Shredding Paper

We shred paper for the community for 25 cents per pound.

Sorting & Bailing Paper

The paper is separated depending on the type, slick , white, newsprint, or shredded. Then, the paper is bailed up in 1,200 pounds bails.

Plastic

All of the plastic is sorted according to the type of plastic. Then, it is bailed up.

CardboardOver 85% of all products that are sold in the United States are packed in cardboard.

We ship one 53 foot tractor trailer of cardboard on a monthly basis, which is approximately 37,000 pounds.

OSHA Certified Forklift Drivers

All of our forklift drivers are OSHA, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Certified.

C-West stands for Cross County Workshop Emergency Support Team . C-West is an interact program that is made up of clients in the Workshop program. They are a support group that assist with problems and emergency situation of other co-workers. They are all trained in First Aide and CPR. This program began in 2011.

CLIENTS LEARNING TO MANAGE WITH DISABILITIES.


This man is changing the water faucet and trap, that has gone bad. Without the Vocational class he would have never know how to begin this task.

Vocational InstructionWe have a vocational class that teaches many things. In this photo they are learning about transmissions. This class learns how to change oil, identify and use of simple hand tools. The clients are taught simple maintenance of a house.


This man is changing the oil with the assistance of our instructor.

Health Class This class we learn about what is and not healthy.

We teach about different diseases and what symptoms comes with these diseases.

We do different warm-ups/ exercises based upon each persons special needs.
