The chain one at the beginning of each round is optional and does not have to beworked with the single crochet. Working the chain one will create additional bulk and a seam.

Sole - Make 4Round 1: Work 7 Foundation Single Crochet or start with a chain of 8, work 1 SCin each chain across for a total of 7. Work 4 Single crochet in the last stitch, work 1 SC in each of the next 5 stitches, work 4 SC in the last stitch, join with the beginning stitch. ( 20 single crochet total)

Round 2: CH 1, Work 2 SC in the same stitch, work 1 SC in each of the next 5 st

itches. Working the rounded section, 2SC in next, 1SC in next, 2SC in next, 1SCin next, 2SC in next, work 1 SC in each of the next 5 stitches. Working the rounded section, in each of the next 4 stitches work, 2SC in next, 1SC in next, 2SCin next , 1SC in next, join with the beginning stitch.( 26 single crochet total)

Round 3: Work 1 SC in the same stitch, 2 SC in the next. Work 1 SC in each of the next 5 stitches. 2SC in next, 1SC in next, 2SC in next, 1 in ea of the next 2, 2SC in next, join. ( 34 single crochet total)

Round 4: Work 1 SC in each stitch around, join. ( 34 single crochet total) Cutthe yarn, pull through and secure.

Sandwich two of sole together and sew together.

Back Heel - Find the center back of the sandal, count back 5 from the center, work 1 SC across 10, turn, work another row of 1 SC in each stitch. There will be two rows of 10 single crochet. Cut the yarn, pull through and secure.

Round 1: Work 7 SC through the chain, do not join. Work the continual round. This is where you work the first stitch right through the top of the next stitchand continue crocheting.Round 2-23: Work 1 SC in each stitch around.If you are using the tie, you will pull it through at this time.Slip stitch the back 4 stitches together, securing both sides.Cut the yarn and secure.

The Ankle Strap will be sewn to the Back Heel section.

Front Toe FlowerWork a chain 4, join.

Round 1: CH 1, *SC through the chain. CH 3. Complete six times from *.Round 2: *SL ST in to the next CH space. CH 1, WK 4 DC through the chain. CH 1,SL ST in the same CH. Complete six times from *. Join with the beginning stitch. (6 petals with 4 double crochet each) We will cut the yarn and change color.

Attach a new color of yarn to your crochet hook. Attach the yarn around the postof the single crochet on round 1. Insert your hook from the back, around the front of the stitch and to the back. Wrap the yarn over your hook, pull through the loop on your hook to secure.

Round 3: *Chain 2, We will be working 2 back post double crochet BPDC around each double crochet on the previous round. Chain 2, work a back post single crochet. Complete 6 times total from*. join with the beginning stitch. Cut yarn and secure.

Sew the 6 flower petals to the ankle strap and to the front sole.
