CRM 2015 Spring Version - Personalize Dynamics CRM by Changing Your Theme One of the newest changes to the 2015 spring release is the ability to personalize Microsoft Dynamics CRM. Microsoft added themes to CRM in order to accomplish this feature. Themes give a company the ability to add a logo to the ribbon, to change the colors of the ribbons, to change the color entry box, and more. The benefit to this feature is it will allow you to brand Dynamics CRM 2015 with your own look and feel. Branding your application will increase your branding strength within your organization. It’s a great way to remind your sales, marketing and customer service team who they work for and what it means to work at your organization. 1. The first step is to go to settings and then customizations. Once you are in the customizations page, click on themes. 2. The next step is to click on the new plus button. A new window will load where you create the new theme. 3. Below is what a blank new theme looks like. The name is just the name of this theme that you are creating. The logo is the picture that you can upload that will now replace the Microsoft Dynamics CRM in the top right corner. The logo tooltip is a text that will pop up when hovering the mouse above the logo. The rest of the blank spaces are used for colors. One tip is that you have to know the valid hexadecimal value, typing in red will not work. You can google hexadecimal value for colors or just use http://www.w3schools.com/tags/ref_colorpicker.asp. Another tip is that logo has to be a certain type, not everything fits. A size that I found works is 118x46px.

CRM 2015 Spring Version - Personalize Dynamics CRM by Changing Your Theme

One of the newest changes to the 2015 spring release is the ability to personalize Microsoft Dynamics

CRM. Microsoft added themes to CRM in order to accomplish this feature. Themes give a company the

ability to add a logo to the ribbon, to change the colors of the ribbons, to change the color entry box,

and more. The benefit to this feature is it will allow you to brand Dynamics CRM 2015 with your own

look and feel. Branding your application will increase your branding strength within your organization.

It’s a great way to remind your sales, marketing and customer service team who they work for and what

it means to work at your organization.

1. The first step is to go to settings and then customizations. Once you are in the customizations

page, click on themes.

2. The next step is to click on the new plus button. A new window will load where you create the

new theme.

3. Below is what a blank new theme looks like. The name is just the name of this theme that you

are creating. The logo is the picture that you can upload that will now replace the Microsoft

Dynamics CRM in the top right corner. The logo tooltip is a text that will pop up when hovering

the mouse above the logo. The rest of the blank spaces are used for colors. One tip is that you

have to know the valid hexadecimal value, typing in red will not work. You can google

hexadecimal value for colors or just use http://www.w3schools.com/tags/ref_colorpicker.asp.

Another tip is that logo has to be a certain type, not everything fits. A size that I found works is

118x46px.

4. To add a new logo, first click on the magnifying glass, then if you haven’t already loaded the

image to CRM click on the plus new. A new window will load. You will have to fill in the name

and type. The type means the type of file you are uploading for the logo. Once you upload the

file, just click save and publish. Then exit out of the new window.

5. Once you add the logo and the logo tool tip the rest is just colors. Use a third party website to

figure out the hexadecimal value and copy and paste them to the spaces. The picture below is a

filled out theme.

6. Once you chose the logo and colors you want just hit save then publish theme. This will then

upload that theme to the CRM. Below are some pictures of changes once a theme is uploaded.

Here is a rundown of what each color section actually changes.
