Rules for Awards : Indian Society of Veterinary Pharmacology & Toxicology (ISVPT) Indian Society of Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology (ISVPT) Criteria / Rules for “Prof. V.V. Ranade Young Scientist Award” 1. A separate session of Young Scientist Award shall be organized in the Annual Conference of ISVPT by appointing three judges. The judges will be nominated by ISVPT Executive Committee taking into consideration the participating candidates. 2. The age limit for the contestants will be 35 years. 3. The candidates must have basic degree in Veterinary Science and should be postgraduate in Pharmacology or should have registered for postgraduate degree course. 4. The presentation of research work in the subject of Pharmacology or Toxicology shall be necessary for the candidate. 5. There should be minimum five candidates for this contest. 6. The full text and abstract of the research paper should be sent in advance to the Organizing Secretary of the conference indicating “Young Scientist Award”. 7. The interest earned out of corpus fund should be utilized for preparation of certificate & Memento bearing “Dr. Ranade Young Scientist Awards”. 8. The award should be given in the valedictory function of IVPT conference. 9. The young scientist award winning paper shall be given preference for publication in the ISVPT Journal.

Criteria / Rules for “Prof. V.V. Ranade Young Scientist Award”

Criteria / Rules for “INTAS Pharma Young Scientist Award”

1) The Award will be given for the best oral presentation in the field of

Pharmacokinetics.

2) Other conditions applicable to “Prof. V.V. Ranade Young Scientist Award” wiil be

applicable to this award also.

Criteria / Rules for “Dr. B.D. Garg Outstanding Pharmacologist Award”

The Award consisting of interest accrued from Mathura ISVPT Endowment

Fund (donated by OS, VIII Annual Conference of ISVPT) Rs. 1,00,000/ (Rupees

One lac Only) and Anand ISVPT Endowment Fund (donated by OS, IX Annual

Conference of ISVPT) Rs. 1,00,000/ (Rupees One lac Only), a citation and a

certificate will be given by the Indian Society of Veterinary Pharmacology and

Toxicology (ISVPT) at its Annual Conference in recognition of the contributions

made for the advancement of Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology.

1. The Award will be given annually beginning form the year 2009-2010 subject to

approval of the EC of ISVPT.

2. The award is applicable to a distinguished Veterinary Pharmacologist/ Toxicologist

of above 50 years of age.

3. The applicant must have spent majority of his/her career pursuing

teaching/research in Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology at an

Academic/Research Institute in India.

4. The award will be announced by the Secretary General of ISVPT.

5. Two experts/subject matter specialist will be nominated by the Executive

Committee of ISVPT and these two Members with President of the Society will

suggest the names of three candidates in order of merit for this award based on

the following criteria :

i. Quality of research

ii. Qualify of publications

iii. Creative writing

iv. Significant contributes made in the filed of Veterinary Pharmacology and

Toxicology and

animal health and production.

v. Original contribution to the subject.

vi. Contribution towards teaching including Post-graduate education.

vii. Number of Master’s and Doctoral candidates guided.

viii. Number of publication in National and International Journals of repute

(including impact factor as per the NAAS Rating).

ix. Honours and Awards received.

6. Recommendations of the Experts will be evaluated and considered by Executive

Committee of ISVPT, may be by circulation even through mail and finalized by the

EC of the Society. In case of any dispute, the decision of the President, ISVPT will

be final.

7. The award will be bestowed upon the recipient the inaugural function of the

Conference. The award will be consisting of a Citation, a Shawl and memento and

the recipient will be reimbursed to the fro II Class AC train fare or as decided by

the EC of the society.

Criteria / Rules for “Dr. Jayvir Anjaria Award” 1. The separate session of Ethnopharmacology / Indigenous Medicinal Plants is

arranged during the conference and there should be at least 3

scientists/contestants.

2. The age of the scientist presenting the research work should be under 45 yrs. 3)

The scientist presenting the research work should be the life member of ISVPT.

4. The research work should have been carried out in Indian laboratory/laboratories.

5. The award is to be given in form of cash and a certificate.

6. The Organizing Secretary of the ensuing annual conference may constitute a

panel of 3 judges for the selection of best paper.

Criteria / Rules for “Dr. R. Natarajan Award” 1. The candidate competing for this prize/medal should have done his research

choosing a good novel experimental model.

2. The experiment he has pursued should be of his own and with a new concept.

3. The competing candidate should be within 35 years of age.

4. The competing candidate should have a good academic record without any

arrears.

5. The competing candidate should be the first author of his research work

presented.

6. The candidate’s work should be duly authenticated by his supervisor/head of the

institute.

7. The candidate should compete only once with his work done and he/she should

compete for the next time if he/she is unsuccessful during the first attempt.

8. The time limit for his/her presentation is limited to 10 minutes and 5 minutes for

discussion and defending.

9. The committee constituted by the executive committee during the annual

conference will decide on the merit of the work, presentation and defending ability

of the candidate.

10. The committee constituted will consist of three senior most faculties with wide

experience.
