3. Installation

Note: This product can only be installed where emendation is available. This unit is a

compulsory grounding protection product. Disconnect power before cleaning; do not

place flammable objects or solution inside the device.

Precautions

When embedding the dish sterilizer in a kitchen cabinet, it is possible to

mount it in the lower part of the kitchen cabinet or the upper part of a

vertical cabinet as required. However, it is necessary to set a vent hole (see

Fig. 7 and Fig.9) in the joint to keep it well ventilated.

For the setup of the sterilizer, easy operation and maintenance shall be

considered and the unit shall be kept even and stable on a solid surface

(without inclination) with the door / drawer panel upright and at least 15cm

from any stove and open fire.

The distance between the dish sterilizer and power socket shall fall within

1.5 meter. The socket shall be securely grounded and connected to

conforming power supply.

Do not expose the dish sterilizer and power socket to moisture.

For handling, lift the unit gently by placing your hands on its left and right

side handles or bottom. Do not lift it by holding its door / drawer panel

handle.

4. Operation

Precautions

Make sure the mounting screws of the dish sterilizer are securely and

correctly tightened before operating the unit.

Thoroughly clean the water in articles before storing them to ensure that

they can effectively and fully cleansed and dried.

For storing tableware, at first wipe off the accumulated water in them and

place them one by one on the bearers on side. Avoid tableware from

overlapping as the cleansing and drying performance will deteriorate if they

are kept too close.

The freshness and cleansing preservation shall be performed individually

when the unit cooled down (at room temperate). Temperature preservation

shall also be performed separately in order to prevent contamination. To

store vegetables and fruits, first clean and dry the, and then put them on the

bearer in order (never use any plastic bag). Keep some clearance between

them as in this way ozone may fully contact the surfaces of vegetables and

fruits for the purpose of freshness and cleanliness preservation.

When storing tableware or food, start the machine every other day so as to

prevent bacteria growth.

During operation, keep the door / drawer closed tight in order to prevent

ozone leakage or UV of radiation. At this time, you may smell slight odor

of ozone. This is normal as a small amount of ozone will soon be reduced

into oxygen, purifying the air.

Page 9: CRISTAL Built-in Dish Sterilizer Instruction Manual D36DSS...Dear user: Thank you for your purchase of CRISTAL built-in dish sterilizer! Please read the instruction manual carefully

6

Do not open the cabinet door during operation. Do not open the door until

20 min. after it stops so as to prevent ozone leakage or burn.

In case of damage of the power cord, it must be replaced with dedicated

flexible power cord or spare parts supplied by the manufacturer or its

service department.

In ozone leakage or lighting from UV tube is found directly without any

euphotic object (e.g. glass), stop the unit immediately and contact qualified

service personnel for repair.

Do not directly look at the operating ozone and UV tube without any

protection.

The ozone and UV tube is made of glass and has weak shock resistance.

Hence prevent it from impact and breakage during operation or cleaning.

In case of malfunction of the ozone and UV tube or ozone generator, it shall

be replaced with the spare parts of the same specifications so as to ensure its

performance and operative safety.

Any unauthorized person is not allowed to disassemble or repair the

machine or replace any part.

Keep children away from the dish sterilizer.

Operating guide

A. Securely plug in the power cord

B. Close the cabinet tight and proceed as follow:

Warning: Make sure that the cabinet is closed tight before any further

operation. Otherwise it is subject to ozone leakage or UV radiation.

C. Determination of function and operating duration.
