Job Title:Employer Engagement Consultant

Post Reference: EE09

Job Purpose:To make contact with employers, identify their business skills needs, and liaise with curriculum teams across college to facilitate the provision of appropriate training to address those needs.

To work closely with key staff within the College to ensure clarity of purpose, mutual understanding and the achievement of Full Cost and Apprenticeship recruitment targets.

To promote the good name of Kingston Maurward at all times and to uphold the core objectives of the College

Reports to: Cross College Lead -Apprenticeships

Grade/Salary:18,902 - 20,761 per annum which is Point 25-28 on the Support Staff Salary Scale.

Hours:37 per week (to be arranged with Cross College Lead -Apprenticeships)

Status:Permanent

Upon appointment, subject to joining the Update Service, signing up to this job description confirms your agreement to the College accessing the DBS Update Service to undertake online status checks on your DBS Certificate in relation to your work at the College, at appointment and in the future.

Vision:

We are looking for an Employer Engagement Consultant to coordinate work experience, assess and IQA sports and leisure industry apprenticeships, review health and safety in the workplace for apprenticeship placements and to coordinate and carry out apprenticeship starts.

Main Tasks and Duties:

To develop new business from Dorset employers and surrounding counties to meet Kingston Maurwards Employer Engagement targets.

To identify and contact new clients, handle enquiries, follow up business leads and maintain client relationships and relationship records on the college CRM system.

Where appropriate to visit employers and conduct an Organisational Training Needs Analysis to identify skills shortages.

To liaise with curriculum teams across the college to facilitate the provision of appropriate training programmes to meet identified employer needs.

To liaise with administrative staff across the college to ensure that funding, accounting and enrolment records are satisfactorily completed and maintained.

To give presentations to selected audiences of prospective clients as and when required, both at the College and at external locations within the colleges recruitment area.

To develop ongoing and beneficial contacts with local agencies, business organisations and employer groups.

To be proactive in the recruitment and induction of apprentices by providing information and support throughout the recruitment process to employers and ensuring that recruitment targets are met.

To deal with enquiries from employers and applicants in person, via telephone email and online applications

To coordinate work experience as advised by line manager.

Carry out Health & Safety checklist as required.

Carry out customer satisfaction survey(s) at regular intervals including the mid and end point of apprenticeship journey.

Shortlist candidates as required carrying out interviews and screenings where required

To ensure up to date knowledge of current specifications for apprenticeship framework/standards is maintained and be able to fully explain and respond to queries on apprenticeships to a range of audiences including: employers, apprentices and colleagues.

To Assess and or Internally Quality Assure (IQA) on a range of courses

To attend networking events as appropriate, including some business breakfast meetings and twilight sessions.

To prepare, in conjunction with the line Manager, carefully targeted business press releases.

To assist the line manager in the preparation of statistical data and other information for the compilation of employer engagement reports.

To take proactive responsibility for Health & Safety at all times, reporting accidents, incidents and near misses which may affect staff, students, customers and visitors.

Educated to Degree level or equivalent.

Experience in a business development, marketing or sales role.

Experience of Assessing and or IQA

GCSE Grade A-C in maths & English or equivalent.

Administration/IT qualifications at Level 2 or equivalent

ICT qualifications.

Reviewing H&S in the workplace qualification

Experience with high quality volume recruitment, either in a recruitment agency environment or as an internal recruiter.

Experience of Service Level Agreements

Knowledge

A good understanding of recruitment processes and employers legal requirements in relation to recruitment and retaining learners and staff.

Ability to cross sell services in large establishments

Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Knowledge of Outlook.

Good written and communication skills

Excellent organisational skills as well as strong attention to details.

Use of a CRM.

Knowledge of the FE sector
