Mandatory COVID-19 Clearance Requirement:

On August 3, 2021 the Los Rios Board of Directors passed Board Resolution 2021-18: COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement to support the health and safety of employees, students, and members of the community. American River College, The Sacramento Regional Public Safety Training Center and Los Rios classes held at the Dean Street location, will require COVID-19 vaccinations for all Los Rios employees and all students who access district and college facilities by October 1, 2021.

The Resolution is consistent with all applicable laws, exceptions will be granted for eligible documented medical conditions as well as narrowly defined and sincerely held religious beliefs. Masks will also be required for all students, faculty, and staff in any indoor space at the Safety Center and Los Rios classes held at the Dean Street locations, regardless of vaccination status.

Students can submit their vaccination status in eServices. After you log in, click the COVID-19 Vaccination Status tile on the home page. You may have to scroll down to the bottom of the screen to see the tile.

The system asks if you are partially or fully vaccinated, which vaccine you received, and the date(s) of your shot(s). The system also asks you to provide verification of your vaccination status in one of the following ways:

• Upload an image or a screenshot of your Official California Digital COVID-19 Vaccine Record (learn how to get your Digital COVID-19 Vaccine Record)

• Upload an image of your official COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card

The detailed process for both employees and students to request an exemption can be found at www.losrios.edu/exemptions, including specific forms to download, complete, and email to the appropriate address. Medical and religious exemption requests should be submitted at least 3 weeks prior to the course start date, to ensure there is time for review, an interactive process (which may include the submission of additional supporting information), and a determination prior to the October 1 effective date of the vaccination requirement. You will be notified of the status of your application once the evaluation is complete.
