2. THE BUSINESS PLAN
This business plan isto open up a cricket academy. This academy will be situated at Lucknow where majority ofthe population (among the age group of 5 to 25) is interested.
3. THE SERVICE CHOOSEN & REASONS TO CHOOSE THIS SERVICE
The enthusiasm for this sport is tremendous and is growing day by day.The time now is to search and hone the skills of young talent and prepare them for state and national level. The BCCI and other cricket associations also want to nurture the young talent right from the beginning and are keen on development of Cricket academy in India. With their support and help in terms of grants and concessions, establishing a Cricket academy with world class facilities will be a good business venture. It is proved by the success of the Indian Premier League , Indian Cricket league and growing interest of people in Ranji trophy as well that Cricket has always been gaining popularity . Also, the interest shown by sports brands like Nike , Addidasand Reebok is also amazing.

The Cricket academy can be opened in the city of Lucknow. The above place has a good following of the sport. This academy will teach youngsters the skills of the game and prepare them to play in the State and national levels. The academy would have tie ups with schools and colleges across Lucknow. School and college students would get the necessary mentorship and equipments in their school itself. Their enrolment fees would be charged by the School itself which in turn would pay to the Cricket academy.
5. TARGET MARKET & ITS APPROXIMATE SIZE
The target market at the initial stage will be School and college students of Lucknow who are interested in the sport. Also people can enrol independently with the cricket academy as well. Initially, we can have a setup with schools (till 12th standard) for the coaching of their respective school teams. Events such as inter-school events can be organized to promote the academy. The approximate size in terms of revenue will depend on the number of schools joining us in our endeavour to teach Cricket to kids. The approximate capacity of number of students joining the course at the start can be 1000. This will be during the weekdays. At the weekends, there will be sessions for students who are above 12th standards and for those who want to get coaching facilities from adjacent areas. This number will be approximately 200.
6. INITIAL INVESTMENT
The biggest investment will be the Cricket ground and its maintenance. Also, a basic structure will be required as there is a need for a changing room and a gymnasium. The ground will cost Rs. 20 crores approximately. The total structure of the academy will cost around additional 2 crores. So, the expectation is that the initial investment will be of around Rs. 22 crores.

So, the monthly expense will be around 13 lakhs.
8. INCCOME STATEMENT
The income can be listed as below:
If a standard price of Rs. 5000 per head for 600 students is charged, the income per month from coaching can be estimated at Rs. 30 lakhs per month.
There can be Cricket matches organized during the year which can bring in revenue of approximately 10 lakhs.
9. ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE
The organization will have two instructors for teaching Cricket. Also, there will be two instructors in the gym.
Beside this, there will be general staff for the maintenance of the ground, the security, the admin department and the cleaning department.
10. PROMOTIONAL METHODS AND ADVERTISEMENT MIX
The academy will advertise through the local media of regional newspapers, regional TV channels and also through pamphlets at schools and colleges. This will involve expenses of around Rs. 16 lakhs annually.
Regional newspaper:Rs 10 lakhs p.a.
Regional TV channel:Rs 5 lakhs p.a.
Pamphlets:Rs. 1 lakh
11. COMPETITOR ANALYSIS
At the start, the competition will be from the local sport clubs where Cricket is also a part of the facilities. But there will not be a major competition because such institutions are very few.
