    AirportThe Nikos Kazantzakis is one of the three largest international airports in Greece, and is only 10 minutesaway from the centre of Heraklion. If you take a taxi youwill pay approximately 15 (including the luggage). Youcan also take the bus No 1, which takes you to the towncentre.

    If you plan to rent a car on the island, just keep in mind that even if the local trac is not huge (during summer theproblem is much bigger) you will face a great problemwith parking, especially in the centre of the town.
