Shri Ganesh Dass Gupta, son of late Lala Labhu Ram Gupta was born on 27thFebruary, 1948 in Tehsil Majalta, district Udhampur. He had one brother andfive sisters. His father was a businessman having his own shop. He completed his plus two and started business in village Kooh-Nallah which flour-

ished soon by dint of his hard work and ability. Later he shifted his business toUdhampur city in 1980. He got married to Smt Lakshmi Gupta, daughter of late ShDewan Chand Gupta, resident of Mandli, Tehsil Billawar on 19th May, 1970. He wasblessed with two sons and three daughters whom he provided good education. Hiselder son is doing a job in accounts in Private sector while his younger son is Tax prac-titioner at Jammu. His daughters are married in good families and are well settled.

He was a very jovial and gregarious person who loved driving, sitting with friends andlistening old songs. He was very sincere, humble and honest to one and all. He wasvery helpful to the poor and needy people.

He breathed his last on 5th December, 2016 due to low blood pressure. He is survived by his wife, two sons and three daughters. May God give eternal peace to thedeparted soul and courage to the family members to bear this irreparable loss.
