Yellow SanctionsBehaviours we wish to discourage – low level unless persistent.

Sanctions will be given consistently throughout the school but are age appropriate.

The behaviours below may result in a yellow card with the sanction shown. If you receive 3 yellow cards in one day 11.15 to 11.15 you will be given an orange card.

Orange SanctionsBehaviours we wish to discourage – medium level unless persistent.

Sanctions will be given consistently throughout the school but are age appropriate.

The behaviours below may result in an orange card with consequence of the sanction shown. If you receive 3 yellow cards in one day 11.15 to 11.15 you will also be given an orange card.

Three orange cards may result in a red card.

Each orange occasion will be shown by the writing of the child’s name on the board, followed by a tick.

After three ticks the child will be given a card and misses a playtime stood on the “orange spot”.

The card should be given by the child to the teacher on duty, who gives it back to the class teacher.

Red SanctionsSerious behaviours we wish to discourage.

Sanctions will be given consistently throughout the school but are age appropriate.

The behaviours below are serious “red” behaviours. If you receive 3 orange cards in one day 11.15 to 11.15 you will be given a red card.

Please refer to our behaviour policy. The head should be made aware of red actions and will decide whether parents and/or support agencies are contacted.

Red behaviours will result in a lunchtime detention from 12.45 until 1.10.Names of children will be entered into a book. Parents will be notified of serious misdemeanours in consultation with the head or deputy. After three occasions of detention in one half term parents will be contacted via letter. Exclusion may be considered.

Dangerous or unkind

Vandalism, graffiti or destroying property deliberately.

Malicious hurting, biting, kicking, stranglingscratching etc., retaliation*BULLYING, running away.
