Nick Atkinson and Jeetendra Solanki have left Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi UFJ. Atkinson was latterly Global Head of Leveraged Finance & Strategic Advisory and Jeetendra was Director & Head of Origination, Leveraged Finance & Strategic Advisory at the bank.

Gaurav Bansal, Gabriele Galli, and John Harty have joined Bank of America as VPs in the London-based Leveraged Finance team. Previously, Bansal worked at Nomura, while Galli joined from Deutsche Bank, and Harty joined from Barclays. They were all VPs in the Leveraged Finance teams at their previous institutions.

HSBC has hired Laurent Berlucchi as an MD & Head of Leveraged & Acquisition Finance – Continental Europe. He will be reporting into Paul Cahalan, Head of Leveraged & Acquisition Finance – EMEA. Previously, Berlucchi was a Director in the Global Asset Managers Group at Citi.

Jerome Bonan has joined Bank of Ireland as a Director in the Leveraged Finance team, based in Paris. Previously, Bonan was a Director in ING’s Paris based Leveraged Finance team.

Christopher Bond has been appointed Head of DCM FIG – EMEA at BNP Paribas following Ed Stevenson’s departure earlier this year. Previously, Bond led the bank’s coverage of Northern European FIG clients as part of the Capital Markets & Financing team.

DNB Markets has hired Philippe Bonnet in its IB team, based in London. Previously, Bonnet was a Director in the Leveraged Finance and High Yield Origination team at UniCredit.

David Bugge has retired from Citi’s London based Leveraged Finance team, where he was latterly an MD.

Deutsche Bank has recently reshuffled its Leveraged Finance and Debt Capital Markets teams amid a broader restructuring of its investment bank and following the departure of Nick Jansa.

Deutsche Bank’s now former Co-Head of Corporate Finance for EMEA, Jansa, held numerous positions during his long career at Deutsche Bank, including Global Head of Leveraged Finance. Following Jansa’s departure, Hoby Buvat has been appointed Head of Leveraged Finance Origination Europe, having previously been Co-Head of Loan Capital Markets – EMEA.

Karl-Heinz Herweck will assume responsibility for Capital Markets for the DACH region.

Diarmuid Toomey, previously Head of High Yield Capital Markets – EMEA, and Jeremy Selway, previously Co-Head of Loan Capital Markets – EMEA, are now Co-Heads of Leveraged Debt Capital Markets – EMEA.

Mark Lewellen, who joined the bank back in April as Head of DCM Corporate – EMEA, has been promoted to Head of DCM Origination for FIG, Corporates, and Sovereign and Supranational Agencies.

Gerald Podobnik, previously Head of DCM FIG – EMEA & Global Head of Capital Solutions & Sustainable Financing, has been promoted to CFO of the Corporate Bank.

Frazer Ross will remain Head of Investment-Grade Syndicate and take on additional responsibilities for liability management and ratings and capital structure advisory.

The bank has also appointed Anurag Singhal to Head of Financing Coverage in Europe within its global financing and credit trading unit (GCT).

Additionally, Lorenzo Frontini is now also running Credit Financing within the Institutional Clients Group, having previously been Head of the Financing Solutions Group that included investment grade DCM.

existing Special Situations team. Newns was previously a senior member of the Leveraged Finance team at Mizuho.

Florent Cassabois has joined RBC Capital Markets as Head of Leveraged Finance – France, based in Paris. Prior to this, Cassabois was Co-Head of Leveraged Finance – France at HSBC.

BMO Capital Markets has hired Samantha Cook to join their DCM SSA and Syndicate desk following the internal transfer of Lindsay Wortzman, Director on the SSA desk in London, to BMO’s Government Finance Desk in Toronto. Cook joins from Nomura where she was a VP on the SSA Syndicate desk.

Laura Crosbie rejoins the DCM SSA team at NatWest Markets. Crosbie was at NatWest for seven years prior to joining the Amsterdam-based DCM SSA teams at ABN Amro in 2017, and Rabobank in January this year.

JP Morgan has hired Ryan Dawson as an MD in their Leveraged Finance team. Dawson has joined from Nomura, where he was also an MD in the Leveraged Finance team.

Crédit Agricole has promoted Sébastien Domanico to Head of Global Markets – EMEA, based in Paris. The promotion comes just a few weeks after Domanico was promoted to Head of Global Credit, a role that he will retain until a replacement is appointed. Domanico joined Crédit Agricole as Head of DCM in 2016 and retains his DCM responsibilities as part of the global credit role.

Ray Doody, HSBC’s Co-Head of Global Capital Markets, will relocate to New York as the bank looks to win more market share in the US. Alexi Chan, the other Co-Head of Global Capital Markets, will remain in London.

Commerzbank has reorganised its DCM business and has appointed Klaus-Peter Eitel and Denis Rath as Head of Public Sector Origination & Syndication and Head of International Bank Bonds Origination, respectively. Eitel and Rath will be based in Frankfurt, Eitel having previously been a Director in the bank’s Frankfurt SSA Syndicate team, while Rath was previously a Director in the bank’s Singapore DCM Origination & Syndication team.

Reinhard Haas, previously Global Head of DCM Loans at Commerzbank, has been promoted to Global Head of Syndicated and Leveraged Finance, leading a team established through the merger of Commerzbank’s DCM loans and leveraged finance divisions.

Commerzbank has also promoted Anthony Vivès de Montal, based in Frankfurt, as Head of European Banks Origination for DCM. Vivès de Montal was previously a Director at the bank where he focused on SSA DCM.

Natixis has promoted Kwong-Wing Law to Head of Infrastructure Finance for Asia Pacific, and he has relocated to Hong Kong. Most recently, Law was London’s regional Head of Infrastructure Finance.

Alexis Le Marié has joined Natixis as a Director in their Financial Sponsor Coverage team. Le Marié was previously a Director in Deutsche Bank’s Financial Sponsor Coverage team.

As part of a series of changes at the Swiss group under its new investment banking bosses, UBS has made the following promotions:

London-based Simona Maellare and US-based Matt Eilers have been promoted to Co-Head the bank’s Alternative Capital Group. The two were previously Co-Heads of UBS’s Financial Sponsor Coverage business before Maellare became sole Head of the team in 2018 and Eilers was appointed Chairman of the team. In 2018, UBS merged its Financial Sponsors team with its Alternative Capital Solutions unit to create a global division covering private equity firms as well as their pension and sovereign wealth fund clients.

UBS has also promoted Sarah Mackay to Head of Leveraged Finance – EMEA. She was previously an MD in the Leveraged Finance team and before joining UBS four years ago, she was Head of Sponsor Coverage – EMEA at RBS

The bank has also created a Private Capital Markets team to help wealth management clients invest in this sector and have promoted Isabelle Toledano-Koutsouris to head this team in Europe, in addition to her current role as Head of the DCM Corporate & Derivatives team.

Allison MacKinnon has joined RBC Capital Markets as an MD and Head of DCM Corporate – UK. Previously, MacKinnon worked at ANZ Capital where she was Head of Client Solutions for Europe & America, in charge of DCM, rates, FX, and deposit sales to corporates in the region.

RBC Capital Markets has also promoted its Head of European DCM SSA, Stuart McGregor, to lead the bank’s Public Sector Syndicate team as part of a reshuffle following the departure of Kerr Finlayson. McGregor joined RBC in 2012 from Bank of America where he was Head of the SSA bond syndicate desk.

Crédit Agricole has hired Pierre-Francois Martineau as an MD in the bank’s new Leveraged and Telecom Finance Group, based in Paris. Martineau joins from BNP Paribas’ Leveraged Finance and High Yield Origination team in London where he was a Director. Lorraine Guffond, formerly an AD in Crédit Agricole’s London based Leveraged Finance team, has relocated to Paris to join this new team as a VP.

Miles Millard has joined ING as Head of Global Capital Markets. Millard worked at Deutsche Bank for 17 years and was, most recently, Global Head of Capital Markets and Treasury Solutions, a business that combined DCM and derivatives, as well as Co-Head of Corporate Finance – EMEA before leaving the bank in 2016.

Handelsbanken has hired Juha Mustonen as Head of DCM for Finland. Mustonen joined from Danske Bank where he was, most recently, Head of DCM Origination Finland.

Melissa Plaza-Marriott has joined Goldman Sachs as an MD in Financial Sponsor Coverage, having previously been an ED in Morgan Stanley’s Financial Sponsor Coverage team.

RBS has appointed Alison Rose as its new group Chief Executive, the first woman to lead one of the UK’s big four banks. Rose, who joined the bank 27 years ago as a graduate trainee and was, most recently, Deputy CEO of NatWest Holdings and CEO of Commercial & Private Banking at RBS, will replace the incumbent Ross McEwan in November.

Bank of America has hired Harsha Shah as a VP in their Financial Sponsor Coverage team. Shah was previously a VP in the Financial Sponsor Coverage team at Nomura.

David Shaw has announced his retirement from JPMorgan where he was, most recently, an MD in their London-based Leveraged Finance team.

Jason Short has joined Deutsche Bank’s Financial Sponsor Coverage Group in San Francisco, where he will focus on coverage of the West Coast Sponsor clients. Short joined from Barclays where he was a VP in their London based Leveraged Finance team.

Hashem Shubber has relocated to New York as an ED in JP Morgan’s Leveraged Finance team, focusing on TMT. Previously, Shubber was an ED in the bank’s London based Leveraged Finance team.

UBS has hired Samantha Sutcliffe as Head of Sustainable and Green Bonds, a role based on the syndicate desk in London but with a wider remit including origination. Previously, Sutcliffe was a Senior Adviser at SEB in Stockholm where she focused on Climate & Sustainable Financial Solutions.

Bank of America has hired Thomas Turner as an MD in Financial Sponsor Coverage. Previously, Turner was an MD in the Financial Sponsor Coverage team at Goldman Sachs.

Benny Zachariah has joined the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank as an Investment Officer for financial institutions and syndications, based in Beijing. Previously, Zachariah was the Head of Global Loan Syndications at the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China in London.

SMBC has hired Ali Zadegan to head its Structured Finance Syndication Origination team, reporting to Head of Loan Capital Markets, Paul Gibbon. Most recently, Zadegan was a Director in BNP Paribas’ Energy & Infrastructure Global Capital Markets team. Richard Morgan will also be joining the team to work with Zadegan. Morgan joins from Investec where he was Head of Power & Infrastructure Syndication & Distribution.

Muzinich has hired Peter Andersson as Head of Nordics, working from London on both institutional and wholesale business. Previously, Andersson worked at Legg Mason for ten years, most recently as Head of Nordics & New Markets – EMEA.

AXA Investment Managers has hired Simon Baxter as a Credit Portfolio Manager. Previously, Baxter was a Director and Senior Credit Portfolio Manager at BlackRock.

Xavier Boucher has been promoted to Head of European Corporate & Leveraged Loans at AXA Investment Managers. He was previously Senior Portfolio Manager in the Paris based Corporate Loans & Private Debt team.

Nicholas Chalmers was named CEO of specialist credit manager Cairn Capital, joining from Oceanwood Capital Management where he was CEO and President. Chalmers will take over as CEO from Paul Campbell, Co-founder and Director, who will remain with the firm as a Senior Adviser.

Kartesia has hired Charles-Henri Clappier as Head of Credit Opportunities – France. Clappier was previously MD in the Paris-based Leveraged Finance team at Bank of Ireland.

BlackRock has hired Mihai Danila as a VP focusing on stressed, distressed and special situations. Danila joined from Goldman Sachs where he was an ED in their Financial Sponsor Coverage team.

Brookfield Asset Management has hired Kunal Dusad as a VP focusing on financing. Dusad was previously at RNHB where he led the Business Intelligence function.

Hamza Filali has joined CVC Credit Partners as a Director in the European Private Debt team, based in Paris, with a focus on origination in France. Filali was most recently a Director in the Leveraged Finance team at BNP Paribas, where he worked for the past 12 years both in London and Paris.

Bedis Gharbi has joined French asset manager Axiom Alternative Investments as a Senior Portfolio Manager, responsible for managing the Axiom Credit Opportunity fund. He will be based in London alongside existing Manager Laurent Henrio. Previously, Gharbi worked at RiverRock European Capital Partners where he was a Portfolio Manager and Head of Credit Funds.

Ruarih Gilmour has left Crédit Agricole and joined Pricoa Private Capital as a Senior Associate. Previously, Gilmour was an AD in Crédit Agricole’s Leveraged Finance team.

Bennett Goodman, one of the founders of private equity company Blackstone’s US$139bn credit unit, GSO Capital Partners, announced he is leaving to set up his own family office. Goodman is the last of GSO’s three founders to leave the group. Following Goodman’s departure, GSO will be managed by Dwight Scott, who was appointed President of the business in 2017.

Keith Green has joined H.I.G. Whitehorse as a Principal in their Private Debt team. Green was most recently a Director in Lloyds’ Strategic Debt Finance team.

Gavin Keyte has joined Allica as Head of Credit. Previously, Keyte worked at AIB focusing on UK Enterprise Risk Management.

GAM Investments has hired Florian Komac as an Investment Manager in its Global Credit team, based in Zurich. Previously, Komac worked at AXA XL (the AXA subsidiary formerly known as XL Catlin) where he was a Portfolio Manager in Corporate Credit, based in New York.

CBAM Partners has hired Jean-Philippe Levilain to assist in the launch of its European business; he will be based in Paris. Levilain has joined from AXA Investment Managers where he was Global Head of Loans & Private Debt, based in Greenwich, Connecticut.

Tikehau Capital has hired Martino Mauroner as a Director in the Private Debt team to oversee Italian private debt activity and lead their team in Milan. Mauroner joined from the Milan-based Leveraged Finance team at Crédit Agricole.

Pascal Meysson has left Alcentra where, most recently, he was an MD focusing on European direct lending. Prior to joining Alcentra, Meysson spent a number of years in Deutsche Bank’s European Leveraged Finance team.

Capital Four has hired Stine Milling Pilegaard as a Director, based in Copenhagen. Pilegaard will work within the Credit Research team as Director and cluster Head with sector responsibility. Previously, he worked at Nordea Asset Management as a Portfolio Manager and credit specialist focused on Emerging Market Corporate Bonds and ESG integration.

BlueBay Asset Management has hired Alex Navin as a Portfolio Manager in the Structured Credit team. Navin was previously at Citi where he held a senior position within CLO trading.

HSBC Global Asset Management has appointed Tina Radovic as Global Head of Credit Research, assuming responsibility for a 44-strong team covering US$179bn in assets across investment grade, high yield and securitised credit across emerging and developed markets. Radovic joined HSBC Global Asset Management in 2003 and for the last ten years has been Head of Credit Research, based in Paris.

Invesco has hired Julian Russ in their Global Bank Loans team. Previously, Russ was an AVP in the Leveraged Finance team at Commerzbank, based in London.

Angelo Gordon has hired Michiel von Saher as an MD, based in London, responsible for leading European performing credit research and identifying credit investment opportunities across the region. Von Saher joins from PGIM Fixed Income where he was Head of European Credit Research.

LGT Private Debt has hired Jonathan Smith as an MD in their Private Debt team. Smith joined from Lloyds where he was a Director in the Strategic Debt Finance team.

The US bank Stephens Inc. has hired Simon Tilley as an MD responsible for European Sponsor Coverage. Previously, Tilley was a Partner at Inflexion Private Equity Partners and also spent 16 years at DC Advisory where he was, most recently, Head of European Financial Sponsor Coverage.

ING’s Head of Structured Acquisition Finance – Spain, Alonso Torre de Silva, has left to join Ares as an MD in their Credit team, based in Madrid.

Vanessa Totah has joined Primary Group as Director of Business Development, based in London. Totah was previously a Director in DC Advisory’s Debt Advisory team.

RoundShield Partners have hired Thomas Weaver as a VP in their Portfolio Management team. Weaver joins from Ares, where he was a Senior Associate in the Direct Lending Portfolio Management team.

Rachel Yu, a former VP in EQT’s London based Direct Lending team, has left to join Regily as CFO in Stockholm, Sweden.

Sanat Babu has left Bank of America to join the Debt Advisory team at Marlborough Partners. At Bank of America, Babu was a VP in the Leveraged Finance team.

Alessandro Brembati has joined Livingstone as an AD in their Debt Advisory team. Brembatti joins from Marlborough Partners where he was latterly an Associate in Debt Advisory.

Property Group Savills has hired Charlie Bottomley and Martin Crocker as Directors in their new Debt Advisory business. Bottomley was previously a Director in Loan Syndicate at HSBC, while Crocker was a Director of Global Structured Finance at QNB. They will report into Andrew McMurdo, Head of Debt Advisory at Savills.

Duff & Phelps has hired Jacco Brouwer as MD and Head of Debt Advisory – Europe. Previously, Brouwer worked at AlixPartners where he served as Head of Debt Advisory.

Alvarez & Marsal have hired Tim Metzgen as Head of Debt Advisory. Metzgen joins from Marlborough Partners where he was an MD in the Debt Advisory team.

Poppy Russell has also joined Alvarez & Marsal as a Senior Director in the Restructuring team from KPMG, where she had spent over eight years in the Financial Restructuring team.

Diederick van der Plas, Nick Carmichael, and Duncan Turner have joined FTI Consulting’s Corporate Finance & Restructuring team in London as Senior Managing Directors. Van der Plas was also appointed Head of Restructuring – EMEA. They all come from PwC, where they were Partners in the Financial Restructuring practice.

Standard & Poor’s has hired John Wright as a Financial Institutions Credit Analyst, focusing on EMEA. Wright was previously Director and Head of FIG Syndicate – EMEA at Barclays before he resigned in April this year.

Tatiana Ozherelyeva has left JP Morgan, where she was latterly an ED in the Leveraged Finance team, to join H4 (a digital platform transforming the documentation that underpins global financial markets and legal contracts).

Barclays has hired Alastair Blackman as an MD responsible for UK Coverage, reporting to Alisdair Gayne, Head of IB – UK. Blackman joins from Deutsche Bank where he was most recently Head of IB Media & Digital – EMEA.

BNP Paribas has hired Richard Choi as Head of Real Estate Advisory – UK, reporting to Head of Banking – UK, Matthew Ponsonby, and to the Head of Real Estate, Pierre Semeria. Before joining BNP Paribas, Choi was Head of IB Real Estate & Hospitality – EMEA at HSBC.

BNP Paribas has also recruited Andrew McNaught as Head of UK Advisory. McNaught joins from Nomura where he was most recently Co-Head of M&A – EMEA.

JP Morgan has named Carsten Woehrn as Head of Private Equity M&A – EMEA, promoting him from Head of Infrastructure M&A, as well as rehiring Patrik Czornik as Head of M&A – Germany, reporting to Christian Kames, Head of IB – Germany. Previously, Czornik was an MD in Goldman Sachs’ IB TMT – EMEA team.

Catherine Pierre has also joined JP Morgan, where she has been named Head of UK Corporate Client Banking and Specialised Industries. Most recently, Pierre was Head of Citi’s UK commercial bank.

John Flint has resigned from his role as CEO of HSBC. The Head of Commercial Banking, Noel Quinn, will act as interim CEO whilst the search for a permanent replacement takes place.

Drew Goldman has been appointed Global Head of IB at Deutsche Bank, moving from his previous position as regional Head for the Americas.

Deutsche Bank has also named Patrick Frowein as Head of IB – Germany, Austria and Switzerland, while Berthold Fuerst will be in charge of IB Coverage and Advisory for the region.  Frowein was previously Co-Head of Global Industrials whilst Fuerst was Co-Head of M&A EMEA.

Wells Fargo announced that Fiona Gallagher will become CEO of Wells Fargo Bank International (WFBI) and will be responsible for activity across Europe. Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Gallagher was MD, Global Head of Securities Services and Chief Country Officer for Ireland at Deutsche Bank.

Morgan Stanley has hired Jean de Miramon as an MD and Head of IB Chemicals – EMEA. Most recently, Miramon was Vice-Chairman and Head of Chemicals Banking at Barclays.

Jefferies has poached Berthold Mueller from BNP Paribas, taking the role as Chairman for DACH and Head of IB Industrials – Continental Europe. Mueller was most recently working as Head of IB at BNP Paribas since 2014, having joined the firm in 2006.

Nicolas Naillon has also been hired by HSBC as an MD in IB Healthcare. Previously, Naillon was a Director within the IB Healthcare team at Deutsche Bank.

UBS has hired Nicolas Paquet as an MD based in Paris. Paquet joins from Barclays where he was Head of M&A – France.

The Swiss bank has also promoted Ros Stephenson and Javier Oficialdegui as Global Co-Heads of its Investment Banking teams, advising companies on M&A. Stephenson was previously Head of Corporate Client Solutions – Americas, and Oficialdegui the Head of Corporate Client Solutions – EMEA.

Additionally, UBS has relocated Global Head of Activist Defense, Darren Novak, from New York to London as the firm seeks to advise European companies on how to defend themselves against activist investors.

Société Générale continues with its plans to reduce costs by restructuring its business lines and creating a new business unit, Global Banking and Advisory, which combines Capital Markets, Advisory and Financing Services. Former Head of Global Finance, Pierre Palmieri, has been appointed Head of Global Banking and Advisory whilst Thierry d’Argent and Alvaro Huete are named Deputy Heads of Global Banking and Advisory. Investment Banking now also sits within the new division, with the former Global Head of Corporate Finance, Sylvain Mégarbané, appointed as the new Head of IB.

Thorsten Pauli has also been hired by Bank of America as Head of ECM – DACH. Pauli was at UBS for twenty years, most recently as Head of ECM – Switzerland.

Bank of America has also named Gerardus Vos as Head of IB Financial Technology – EMEA, with Vos having previously worked as a researcher at Barclays leading the Technology and Fintech Equity Research division.

HSBC has hired Ed Welsh as Global Head of IB Business Services, focused primarily on M&A, and reporting to Co-Heads of Capital Finance, Matthew Wallace and Peter Enns. He leaves his previous role as an MD at Greenhill & Co.

Citi has promoted former JP Morgan dealmaker Andrew Truscott to Co-Head of IB – UK alongside Jan Skarbek as it refreshes its leadership, with Skarbek also becoming UK Vice-Chairman of the new Banking Capital Markets and Advisory division.

Atiq Rehman is another recipient of a promotion within Citi, in which he will lead a new Emerging Markets division across EMEA. The new division will cover three regions: Middle East and North Africa (MENA), Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA), and Turkey, Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan (TRUK). Rehman was formerly the current Head of the Middle East and Africa.

Slava Slavinskiy has joined Mizuho from Citi as a Senior MD, leading the Japanese bank’s EMEA branch of Investment Banking. In the new role he will report directly to the Chief Executive of Mizuho International and the Global Head of IB, Suneel Bakhshi.

Hazem Shawki has joined Credit Suisse as Head of IB – Middle East, Turkey and Africa. Shawki spent the last eight years as Head of IB – Middle East and North Africa at Goldman Sachs.

Alantra has hired James Chapman-Andrews and entrepreneur Simon Devonshire OBE as the firm expands its TMT sector team. Chapman-Andrews joins as a Partner and Head of IB TMT – UK, leaving his previous firm Oakley Advisory, and Devonshire joining the firm as a Technology Industry Advisor.

Further hires from Alantra include Aamit Joshi as an MD and Co-Head of IB Chemicals, and Hoong Wey Woon as a Partner covering IB Real Estate & Hospitality – UK in London. Joshi moves from his previous firm Lincoln International where he was an MD, and Wey Woon from KPMG where he was Co-Head of Real Estate Corporate Finance.

Lincoln International has hired Dirk Damegger as an MD and Head of IB Consumer & Retail at the firm, having spent the past two years working at Raymond James covering the same sector.

Lincoln International has also opened a new office in Brussels to be led by Siebrecht Declerck, who joined the firm last year from Rothschild & Co.

William Blair has expanded its IB Industrials team by hiring Julien Darmon and Alvaro Hernandez, with Darmon joining as an MD from Baird’s London office, and Hernandez as a Director, moving from PwC’s Corporate Finance division in New York.

DC Advisory has launched the opening of its new branch in Italy led by newly appointed CEO Alberto Vigo as it continues to expand its international presence. Vigo has been hired from Mediobanca to spearhead the Milan-based office, having spent twenty years in Italian M&A. Giuliano Guarino also joins the new office as an MD, from Lazard in Milan.

Celeste Guth is leaving Deutsche Bank, where she was recently promoted to Global Head of M&A, a role that had not been filled since the departure of Thomas Piquemal in 2018. Guth will be joining PJT Partners as a Partner.

PJT Partners has also hired Bank of America’s Head of IB Media & Internet – EMEA, Antonin Baladi, to build up its European IB TMT business.

Greenhill has hired Jean-Francois Izac to join their London office as an MD covering the insurance sector across EMEA, leaving his position as Head of Insurance at Lazard.

Amélie Négrier-Oyarzabal has also joined Greenhill as an MD and Head of France to lead the opening of a Paris office. She leaves her role as Partner at Lazard where she has spent the majority of her career.

Lazard has promoted Cyrus Kapadia to be the new CEO of IB – UK.  He succeeds William Rucker, who is now Chairman of Lazard’s UK-based operations.  Former Chairman Archie Norman will continue to serve as Special Advisor to Lazard’s CEO.

Moelis have expanded their European coverage with the appointment of Peter Kerckhoffs in Amsterdam, where he will provide financial and strategic advice to clients in the Netherlands and across Europe. He moves from his position as Senior Country Officer for the Netherlands at JP Morgan.

Moelis has also hired Will Peters from Barclays to become an MD advising their TMT clients based in London.

Eric Lalo has joined Rothschild & Co as an MD and Head of Sovereign Advisory, having previously worked at Lazard as Co-Head of Sovereign Advisory Group.

Baird has expanded its Global Technology & Services practice in London by adding two senior MDs in their TMT sector team. Simon Pearson and Justin Prichard both join from EY where they were Partners leading the firm’s TMT M&A practice.

David Sanders has left his position at DC Advisory as an ED focused on the healthcare sector to join Results Healthcare as an MD.

Isac Stenborg has been hired by Livingstone as a Partner based in Stockholm working within the firm’s international Business Services team. Previously Stenborg was a Partner at Grant Thornton, covering their corporate finance sector.

Charterhouse Capital Partners has hired James Cocker as a Partner in its deal making team. Cocker has joined from Lion Capital where he was a Partner and part of the firm’s investment committee.

Horizon Capital has hired Aidan Connelly as a Manager in their Investment and Origination team. Connelly was previously at Capitalworks Investment Partners, where he focused on the business services sector.

Sun European Partners has hired Mark Corbridge as an MD in its transaction team, where he will lead investment activity in Europe. Corbridge joins from TPG Capital.

Neil Cox has left his role as Partner at Sovereign Capital as the firm prepares to raise its fifth buyout fund. Cox worked at Sovereign Capital for twelve years having joined from NM Rothschild & Sons in 2007.

Philip Edmans has been promoted to Partner at Inflexion, a role which will see him lead Inflexion’s debt financing strategy and lending relationships across all its funds, supporting new and existing investments.

Investindustrial has appointed Antonio Gatti as a Managing Principal in the firm. Gatti was previously at Goldman Sachs for over two decades, most recently as a Partner in the Sponsor M&A Group, focusing on the EMEA region.

Stefano Giambelli and Tobias Borkowski have joined H.I.G. Capital as a Principal and Director, respectively, in the firm’s European Middle Market LBO team in London. Giambelli previously co-founded Amlon Capital, an investment vehicle focused on investment opportunities in the consumer goods, digital media, and business services sectors. Borkowski previously co-led the private equity investment operations of the Bronfman Family Office in London.

Eric Hamou has joined Apax Partners as a Partner in the firm’s TMT team. Hamou has joined from DC Advisory where he was, most recently, Co-Head of France and Sector Head for TMT.

CPPIB has hired Pascal Keutgens as a Senior Principal as the firm continues to push into direct investing. Previously, Keutgens was a Partner at Bregal Freshstream.

Bridgepoint has hired Carsten Kratz as a Senior Partner and Co-Head of DACH investments. Prior to joining Bridgepoint, Carsten worked at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) for almost 30 years and led BCG in Germany, Austria and Eastern Europe through the past six years.

Koos van de Linde has joined Triton Partners as an Investment Professional in their newly opened office in Amsterdam, where he will focus on Benelux and help build up a local team. Van de Linde was most recently a VP at Bain Capital, based in London.

CDC has hired Tony Morgan as an MD and Head of their Direct Equity team. Prior to joining CDC, Morgan was an MD at Onex, where he set up their European Private Equity operations.

KKR has recruited its first Head of France, Jérôme Nommé, to lead its private equity investing in France. Previously, Nommé was an MD at Sun Capital where he focused on sourcing investments across Western Europe.

EQT has appointed Federico Quitadamo as Head of EQT Italy after opening their first Italian office in Milan. Quitadamo was previously based in the firm’s Zurich office.

Apollo Global Management has appointed Matt Nord and David Sambur as Co-Heads of Private Equity at the firm, both having been with the firm for more than fifteen years; Nord has overseen many of Apollo’s investments in healthcare and business services, while Sambur has focused on investments in TMT.

3i has hired Sander Ruijter as a Director in its Benelux team, based in Amsterdam. Ruijter was previously a Managing Partner at Gate Invest, a firm which he co-founded in 2016.

Olivier Verdet has joined DENTRESSANGLE as an Investment Director in their Mid & Large Cap team, based in Paris. Previously, Verdet was a Director in HSBC’s Financial Sponsors team in London.

NorthEdge Capital has announced the promotion of Phil Frame to Head of North West. Frame has been with NorthEdge Capital since 2012, based in Manchester.

Intermediate Capital Group (ICG) has hired Oliver Gardey to lead the investment team. Gardey previously worked at Pomona Capital where he was a Partner and a member of the global investment committee.

LDC has hired Stefan Gunn as an Investment Director to boost its South West and Wales team. Previously, Gunn was a Director in the Structured Finance team at NatWest.

Curt Gunsenheimer has been promoted to Managing Partner at Iris Capital, having previously been a Senior Partner at the firm. Gunsenheimer joined Iris Capital in 2002 and is responsible for investments in late-stage and growth capital across Europe.

Graphite Capital has promoted Mark Hall to Senior Partner. Hall has led and structured a variety of transactions since joining Graphite Capital in 2008 from Lyceum Capital, with a particular focus on the healthcare and education sectors.

Simon Hemley has been hired by Beech Tree Private Equity from LDC as an Investment Director covering its sub-sector investment activities across the South West of England. He was previously an Investment Director and Head of the Bristol Office at LDC.

Anthony McKay has left CVC Credit Partners, where he was a Director & Head of Funds Finance overseeing Direct Lending, Credit and Performing Liquid Loans across both London and New York. McKay joined 17 Capital as a Finance Director, based in London.

Michelle Kelly has been named CFO at Tortoise Capital Advisors, having previously been a Senior MD at the firm. In her new role she will be responsible for business strategy & management, corporate finance, financial planning & analysis and financial reporting.

Tikehau Capital has announced that Marwan Lahoud, based in Paris, will succeed Thierry Letailleur as Chairman of the Executive Board of Ace Management, a subsidiary of Tikehau Capital. Lahoud was previously an Associate at Tikehau Capital.

Gresham House has appointed Geoff Lambert as Head of Compliance at the firm, leaving his previous role at Nikko Asset Management Europe where he was responsible for leading the compliance team.

Aberdeen Standard Investments has named Peter McKellar and Neil Slater to lead a combined Private Markets division as Head and Deputy Head respectively, with Slater taking on additional responsibility as Global Head of Real Estate.

Investec has announced new leadership in its Aviation Finance team, with Ajeeth Narayan being appointed as Global Head of Aviation Finance and Mike Francis as Executive Head of Aviation Finance. Both have been with Investec since 2002, when they founded the franchise with two others. The franchise also has a new COO, Celia Britt, who has most recently been managing the Investec Aviation Portfolio.

Level20, an organization that aims to inspire more women to join the private equity industry, has named Eva Sarma as COO at the firm. She was previously a Director at 3i in the UK.

Jonathan Sorell left his position as President and Executive Director of Man Group to take on a new role outside of the company. Sorell has been at the company since 2011 when he joined as Chief Financial Officer.
