No experience necessary. Instructor: Carole Pugliese Knitting Level 1 Thursdays: March 3, 10, 17 and 31 12:30 – 2:30 PM Learn to knit. Using circular needles, you’ll make a make a merino-wool cowl. Perfect for beginning knitters. Instructor: Martha Thomases Painting with Acrylics Mondays, March 7, 14, 28 and April 4 12:30 – 2:30 PM Learn to create depth and dimension with acrylic paints, using blending, shading, and perspective. Subject matter will include architectural abstract and still life. Open to all levels. Instructor: Laury Hopkins Paper Collage/Mixed Media Tuesdays: April 5, 12, 19, 26 12:30 – 2:30 PM Create art projects composed of colorful papers, magazines, photos, paints, pastels. You may also use small, personal objects brought from home. Open to all levels. Instructor: Laury Hopkins Textures and Techniques in Watercolor Mondays, May 9, 16, 23 and June 6 12:30 – 2:30 PM Learn techniques of building and removing paint to create texture in an abstract format, then apply these to various subject matter. Markers and colored pencils will also be used. Open to all levels. Instructor: Laury Hopkins In the Loop! A Weekly Drop-In Needlework Circle Ongoing, every Wednesday 12:30 – 2:30 PM Fun and laughter are guaranteed in this drop-in needlework circle. Bring your own current knitting, crocheting or other needlework project to work on in the pleasant company of others. Registration for In the Loop! is not required; you can come and go as your schedule permits. All classes are held at the Rockefeller Outpatient Pavilion, 160 East 53rd Street, 11th Floor Please register in advance for these free workshops (preregistration is not required for In The Loop!).
