It Is What It Is, Or Is It? It Is What It Is, Or Is It? It Is What It Is, Or Is It? with ROBIN ROBERTSROBIN ROBERTSROBIN ROBERTS Known as The Clarity Guide, Robin Roberts assists people in sorting through their challenges, wants and desires, creating clarity and taking action. She has had a private practice since 2007 both here and in Bryan/College Station. She offers work‐shops for both personal and professional vision creation, and is writing a book, Life Lessons From Everyday Events: Accessible Wisdom. Robin joined Creative Life in January after moving to the area from Bryan/College Station in the fall of 2014. She has

two sons, Adam (22) who lives in Dallas and is a flight attendant with Ameri‐can Airlines, and Skylar (20), a student at Belmont University in Nashville. Robin loves to sing and can often be heard singing here at CLC. You might also catch her onstage in one of the Conroe theater productions when she can fit it in! Robin says, “Every day we have opportunities all around us to learn. It’s just that sometimes we forget — or resist — being the student. Robin’s talk focuses on how to identify and then use these lessons to assist ourselves in creating ever‐expanding, fulfilling lives. Come hear her presen‐tation, “It Is What It Is, or Is It?” on WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 4, at 7PM.

Sunday morning MeditationsMeditationsMeditations

“...Sit and rest and refresh your soul. Eat of the fruit and drink the wine.

All, all is yours, and you are welcome.” —The Science of Mind text

Resuming on SEPTEMBER 6, each is led by a CLC practi‐tioner, coordinated by Darlene Everitt, and lasts about 35 minutes, ending in time to comfortably get into the 11:00 celebration.

There is music to enhance as you are guided into a restful state, and inspi‐rational readings to tap into your spiritual center. Most sessions will end with a spiritual mind treatment based on the theme of the readings. Don’t be concerned about being late. There is an easy way to quickly get into the flow. Stand a moment outside the door and bring yourself to complete silence. Maintain that silence as you enter. You’ll find your‐self suddenly present in the medita‐tion and all is well. SUNDAYS 10:15‐10:50AM, upstairs in the Learning Center. Info: [email protected]@[email protected]

While Rebecca Folsom’s four‐octave range is impressive, it’s the expression in her voice that rivets your attention and stays with you long after the show ends. Rebecca’s voice pours from an inner source of honest emotion, flowing from lilting tenderness to fully liberated, unbridled release. Her poetic songs open your heart, setting free a vulnerability you didn’t realize was locked away, and that’s inviting you to embrace life with all of its joy,

sorrow, passion, and love. Rebecca writes inspiring tales of human heartbreak, redemption, and freedom. Rebecca’s song, “Girls Like Us” charted at number 4 on the national Folk/DJ chart and top 40 on Roots/Americana and College radio. She has performed on BBC radio and television in Northern Ireland, at Nashville’s Bluebird, Opryland, and Tin Pan South stages; New York’s Bitter End and Falcon Ridge Folk Festival; Colorado’s Rocky Mountain Folk Festival and Red Rocks Amphitheatre; and Texas’ own Kerrville Folk Festival. Her latest CD, Reunion, which Boulder Maga‐zine describes as “achingly beautiful,” is a fusion of songs, paintings and poetry, masterfully reflecting the trinity of Rebecca’s life’s work as a singer/songwriter, an artist with a BFA degree, and an author of two published books of poetry. Rebecca makes her first visit to Creative Life on SUNDAY, OCTOBER 4.

Buddy Mondlock’s songs have been recorded by Guy Clark, Nanci Griffith and Janis Ian, to name just a few. In 1987 he was a New Folk Award Winner at Kerrville and he released his first album called On the Line. David Wilcox recorded “The Kid” on his first record for A&M. Buddy did some writing with this

other new kid in town named Garth Brooks (they had the same manager). Janis Ian asked him to write with her; their song “Amsterdam” got recorded by Joan Baez. Nanci Griffith asked Buddy to sing on a show she was taping for Irish tele‐vision, and she ended up recording “Comin’ Down In the Rain” on her Grammy™‐winning collection, Other Voices, Other Rooms. Garth became a star and “Every Now and Then” ended up on his album, The Chase. Buddy’s second album got picked up by Son Records, a small label in Ireland started by U2. In 1996 Peter, Paul and Mary recorded “The Kid” and then asked Buddy to sing with them on their “Great Performances” TV special. He won a Kerrville Music Award for song of the year that autumn for “The Kid” too. Later Buddy collaborated with the legendary Art Garfunkel and Maia Sharp, writing and recording an album together, Everything Waits To Be Noticed, then toured all over America and Europe, singing together like feathers in a wing. His newest CD is The Memory Wall. Buddy returns to CLC on SUNDAY, OCTOBER 11!

What we teach our childrenWhat we teach our childrenWhat we teach our children We teach our children that God is Life — the Life within each of them and in all Creation — that all people are children of the One God, and therefore, are all brothers and sisters. ••• We teach that God is all‐inclusive and we are each created in the image of God — Good. ••• We teach that God is Love, and we honor God‐in‐all through love, not fear. ••• We teach that sin is simply a mistake and when we make mistakes, we are punished by them, not by God. ••• We teach that God is Spirit and present everywhere, that this Spirit is within us and speaks to us through our minds when we are willing to listen. ••• We teach that there are spiritual laws that must be understood and followed, just as we follow human laws. ••• We teach that religion is something to be used every day, not just on Sundays. ••• We teach that Religious Science is a religion that can be used at home, at school and at play; that since God is within us, heaven is also within us, that is we learn to live our lives in harmony with God's Law, we live in heaven now. ••• We teach that keeping the mind focused on good causes a richer experience of life. ••• We teach that God is truth and beauty, peace and harmony; that as we grow to be more like God, our lives will be filled with health, happi‐ness and success. ••• We teach that nothing is too wonderful to happen, nothing is too good to be true: everything is possible to God through me and you! —adapted from a work by Dorothy QuigleyDorothy QuigleyDorothy Quigley

Our Creative Life practitioners are outstanding spiritual support persons, available to lovingly and confidentially assist you, and are at your service. Each has spent hundreds of hours in training, to direct natural compassion into helping you through listening, caring, and using spiritual mind treatment — affirmative prayer — to reveal the truth of you that is greater than any apparent limitation. Each is licensed by the Centers for Spiritual Living, and engages in ongoing study and spiritual development. Have a new goal, an old problem, or a question about applying our

teaching? Work with a practitioner and watch what happens with conscious use of the Law of Mind! •• At prayer circles prayer circles prayer circles every SUNDAY in the Garden Room, following each service, with the Practitioner‐of‐the‐Day, and now by telebridge. Practitioner Sheryl Boyle hosts a weekly gathering, TUESDAYS, 7:30PM, by telebridge (phone) where you can join with others to submit prayer requests and have them treated upon. Be thinking about any desire you might have in the areas of abundance/prosperity/flow; relationships with self and others; career and job (might include promotions; pleasant working environment, or looking for a new job); emotional and physical health; and of course spiritual understanding, inner peace, and sense of communion with your God/Source.
