RD 56 is looking good Danny! I like how the light subtly highlights the textured walls and thewindow pane! I am liking the ground too because it doesn't seem like it is flat..There's like a bit of

    depth to it!

Danny Rollings 23 October 2013 23:30Thank you very much for your feedback! Once I've put the objects such as the clock and

hanging tapestries in there then this one'll be completed :)

Ayunie Adiana 17 October 2013 18:01Hi Danny! I really like RD 16! I can sense some dark and eerie kind of feeling in this thumbnail!

    Well done!

    Danny Rollings 17 October 2013 19:46

Thanks Ayunie :) that makes three people who like RD16, I may be on to something with that

    one!

    Ayunie Adiana 6 October 2013 10:16

Great job Danny and team! It's fun isn't it that you're able to create something out of a circle? I likethe final outcome of your work! Well done! :)

    Danny Rollings 6 October 2013 12:09

Thank you, I'd definitely do it again! At first looking at the circle and thinking we had totransform it into our character was like "O hell..." but as soon as we got into it, it became so

much easier - just goes to show, two (in this case, four) heads really are/can be better thanone :)

    Ayunie Adiana 5 October 2013 22:11

Hey Danny, I am looking forward to the video so I can see your drawings come to live! You shouldalso set up a post on our previous lesson so let your readers know how we progress during the

    animation lessons! :)

    Danny Rollings 5 October 2013 23:13

Vimeo's currently converting the Morphing video, I look forward to posting it because itwas a very fun task :D 35 minutes and counting!

Ayunie Adiana 4 October 2013 19:49I see you've add a personal touch to your influence map template, Well done! Now, I can't wait to see

    your thumbnails! :)

Danny Rollings 4 October 2013 21:36Fingers crossed creativity doesn't fail me! And I have you to thank for the inspiration :)

    Ayunie Adiana 4 October 2013 21:52

Hey Danny! Great sketches to start with especially when this is your first time to go digital! I like #9and #16. In #9, I see a life form. I see an old person with thick eye brows wearing a pair of broken

specs! In #16, I see a tank- like machine.. aiming for the sky!

Danny Rollings 29 September 2013 19:14Thanks for your feedback Ayunie, I'll admit that when creating #9 I had absolutely no idea

what I was drawing and to my eyes it ended up looking like some creepy baby thing! With#16 that's the look I was going for. It's really interesting to see where other people's

imagination take them in terms of what you see :)

    Ayunie Adiana 24 September 2013 23:02

Hi Danny! Just dropping by to say Hi! I will be one of your creative partner!

Danny Rollings 25 September 2013 11:33Awesome, look forward to working with you :)

Absolutely wonderful, you have a nice style! Well done, I look forward to the third :D

    Ayunie Adiana 23 October 2013 15:17

    Thanks! :D

Danny Rollings 15 October 2013 13:38Well painted, lovely painterly style, well done perspective, great angle, excellent eye-catchingvibrant colours - what more can I say! :D

    Ayunie Adiana15 October 2013 13:43

Aww Danny, you're too kind! More needs to be added to this scene though cause it's stillboring to me!

Danny Rollings 13 October 2013 13:29Just wow! These look great, I quite like 72, 74, 77 and 82 :) I'm sure your eventual final concepts are

    going to look great!

Ayunie Adiana 13 October 2013 16:37Thanks Danny! :) I hope they'll look alright at the end too! :P

    Danny Rollings 8 October 2013 23:11

Hi Ayunie, I'm liking 58 for its stretched sense of perspective of the left-most building, the oddhourglass building and the twisted, unnatural stair design. I also like 65 for the dramatic effect given

to the size of the surrounding structures compared to the people and how it's as if everything is being

squeezed towards the domed building in the center :)

Ayunie Adiana 9 October 2013 05:40 Hi Danny, thank you for the feedback! I was

considering 65 for further developments but I am trying to stay away from human charactersand focus on the environment instead! :)

Danny Rollings 5 October 2013 10:07Hey Ayunie, I'm liking how you've followed your own style for your thumbnails. I particularly like

17 as the camera angle emphasizes the sheer scale of the structure, 27 for your use of realisticforeshortening on the train, I also like how you've kept the human and animal figures simplified yet

noticeable and rightly focused the eye on the environment design :)

Ayunie Adiana 5 October 2013 14:07Hey Danny! Thanks for the feedback! I guess I was just experimenting with angles and

perspectives because to have it frontal flat design would've been boring.

Danny Rollings 29 September 2013 11:32Hi Ayunie, I must admit as a complete whole your Influence Map is an excellent sight thanks to thecombination of a great choice of relevant imagery and the background composed of tree branches and

leaves(?) which reminds me of marble. I assume you created it yourself, correct me if I'm wrong!Rather than just filling squares on a basic template which many of us - including myself - have done,

you've made the entire Influence Map eye-catching! I may even have to get designing my owntemplate... :)

Ayunie Adiana 29 September 2013 13:39Hi Danny, Thank you! Yup, I created the influence map myself with the help of a few

photoshop brushes! I find that it adds a personal touch when creating your own instead of

using the ones given! I highly urge you to come up with a template of your own because weconstantly have to expand our creativity in every possible way! :)

Danny Rollings 4 October 2013 09:19An impressive morphing animation! An idea for the future may be to make for example, the limbs

move during both transformations to give it that bit more life :)

    Ayunie Adiana 4 October 2013 11:44

Thanks Danny. We did try but apparently the animation was too fast to get noticed! We learntthat to see the animation, we need more frames in between. :)

    Danny Rollings 3 October 2013 12:42

A very nice master study, you've broken it down into its main colours well :D

    Ayunie Adiana 4 October 2013 08:29

Thanks Danny but there's always room for improvement :)

    Messages from myself to Dan:

Ayunie Adiana 4 October 2013 13:45It's good to number your thumbnails so people can give feedback on which ones they like!. I like the

thumbnail from the 3rd Row, 1st Column which I presume is number 9. The perspectives are

working well in that composition :)

Ayunie Adiana 4 October 2013 13:42Hi Dan, as much as it is tempting to be more "creative" when doing your influence map, I suggest

you create your own template and have the pictures straight on instead of at an angle. Unless youhave a reason to back up why you did so, let me know :) I created my own influence map template to

give it a personal touch instead of the boring grey ones we got to work with.

Check it out here : http://ayunie-adiana.blogspot.co.uk/2013/09/metropole-influence-map-2.html

    Daniel Harrington 7 October 2013 03:53

no theirs no reason to this spacing and angels just preferred it to straight on images it also is

the way i had images when looking at them all together i work a bit like John Constablewhere i take bits i like from all images to use in one piece but i wont angle them next timethanks for feed back

    Messages from myself to Maja:

    Ayunie Adiana 4 October 2013 19:38

Hi Maja, great to see your thumbnails. Just remember to number them so that your readers can givetheir feedbacks and let you know which thumbnails are working and which aren't. I am liking

thumbmail 29 (second set of thumbnails, 4

    th

    row 1

    st

column) The waterfall is working for me! :)Maja Gajowiak 7 October 2013 13:23Hi Ayunie, thank you for your feedback I will definitely remember next time to put in the

numbers so no one else will get confused. Thanks! :)

Ayunie Adiana 23 October 2013 13:12These looks great Maja! I like number 2! It's so bloodied it's interesting! Just a suggestion though,

you might wanna add a bit of different shades to the blood. It looks a bit flat! Otherwise, these areGREAT! Can't wait for your presentation! :)

Maja Gajowiak 23 October 2013 14:27Thank you! :) And Thank you for your advice Ill do it straight away :)

    Messages from myself to Ashley:

Ayunie Adiana 22 October 2013 01:09Hey Ashley, This is looking good. But you might want to be careful with the figures you have

somewhere in between the foreground and mid ground. The tonal value for that is too dark and if you

  • 7/27/2019 Creative Partnership Archived

    5/5

want them to be in the distance, the tonal value should be somewhere in mid grey! :)

    Ashley Nwachukwu 22 October 2013 08:42

Thank you, I get what you mean. Will definitely remember that for next time :)

Ayunie Adiana 3 October 2013 10:30Hi Ashley, Just swinging by to say HI! I am one of your creative partners. I am looking forward to

your upcoming posts of your work like the thumbnails from your book excerpts and your other filmreviews! :)

    Messages from myself to Damyn:

    Ayunie Adiana 8 October 2013 10:54

Hi Damyn, Good to see your first set of thumbnails up. As a whole, your thumbnails have a specifictype of drawing which is the horse. How about putting the horse within an environment so readers

like me would know the kind of setting it is in? Hope this will help you further explore thepossibilities for your next set of thumbnails! :)

Ayunie Adiana4 October 2013 13:49Hey Damyn, you should post the video of the animation too. It's just to let your readers get the

exclusive preview to the whole process of which, I personally enjoyed!

    Ayunie Adiana 2 October 2013 07:36
