This is where we could include a quiz here. Rather than us go over this, we can get people to think about this, and understand that this is an area we reinforce, as adhering to copyright laws is something a lot of people struggle to understand.

So, as we have 90 mins, I do think this gives us a good change to take people through the way in which we train people. As it's focused on being creative, lets get our audience as active as possible. We can skim over things like composition, framing, copyright, etc. We can think of ways for our participants to think about why and what they are doing without understanding why. We can let people know what we would advise those learning after each task. What do you think?

Planning• Plan your video as much as possible in advance

• Storyboarding, scripting, shot list

• Think about continuity

• Consider going on a location ‘scout’ beforehand

• Book equipment, interviewees, etc in advance

Making it easier for the editor

• Think about how the video will be edited when you’re shooting

• Shoot cutaways and “noddies” to cover over gaps left when cutting a longer sequence.

• If in doubt shoot it anyway – better to have too much footage than not enough (within reason)
