All of the graphic products I have created on my own except those two advertisement
about the smartphones. I used two smartphones images from internet.
I have used MS word to create the icons for alternative solution.

Assignment 1 (2C. M4)
User Feedback: Joella Dsouza
Gather feedback on the quality of the products and use it to improve the product,
demonstrating awareness of audience and purpose.
1. Are you able to put your smartphone in the created smartphone box?
Yes it is able to fit the smartphone in final box design because she has measured
each size of the box and the smartphone.
2. Are you able to see the clear information about advert 1 & 2?
The information about advert is clear in both adverts because these adverts
explains all the specs which we need.
3. Have you inserted all the appropriate icons for alternative solution of
smartphone?
Yes, she has inserted all the appropriate icons in her alternative solution of
smartphone.
4. Can you see at least four of the smartphone icons?
She has used four icons in the alternative solution which are more useful and
attractive.
5. Do you have minimum features of smartphone and designed this on the
smartphone screen?
She has designed minimum features of smartphone. For example, camera icon.
6. Are you able to connect your smartphone service all over the world?
No unless your internet service provider can provide internet access worldwide in
any country. We can connect to the internet as long as there is a Wi-Fi connection
available.
7. Can you access your smartphone facilities anywhere else?
No, if the smartphone has settings facility only then the user can access
smartphone anywhere else.
Zobia Ghouri 211594
Conclusion:
As you can see the feedback that I got from my test buddy (Joella). I think the
graphic products that I have designed met the requirements apart from the Wi-Fi
connection. It may make a disadvantage for the target audience to connect
worldwide.
Overall it was a great experience of designing the smartphone, the icons and to
know more about the graphic products meet the intended purpose of audience.
Unit 6
Creating Digital Graphics
Assignment 3 (2C. M5)
Review the extent to which each of the final graphic products meets the needs of
audience and the purpose, considering feedback from others and any constraints.
1. Are you able to put your smartphone in the created smartphone box?
I have created the box for smartphone by measuring the size of phone and the box
to make it useful for the clients. It has met the client requirement as it is specially
designed for a particular smartphone (iPhone 6).
2. Are you able to see the clear information about advert 1 & 2 and online?
The advertisements have clear information about both smartphones because first
advert explains all the specs which will help the target audience to work on and
also everything which is necessary to sell the smartphone. Moreover, the second
advert has met the client requirements because it explains the purpose and target
audience needs for this smartphone.
3. Have you inserted all the appropriate icons for alternative solution of
smartphone?
Alternative solution has been created so that the users will come to know about
the smartphones. All the appropriate icon have been inserted in the alternative
solution of the smartphone.
4. Can you see at least four of the smartphone icons?
I have designed four icons (phone call, music, camera, messages and safari) in the
alternative solution to grab the attention of clients.
5. Do you have minimum features of smartphone and designed this on the
smartphone screen?
Zobia Ghouri 211594
The phone call I have designed because the target audience love to talk on their
phones. Safari I have designed because it is fast web browser and the target
audience can easily access to the internet. Camera has been created because the
teenagers love to capture the moments they spend with their beloved ones.
Messages has been designed especially to keep in touch with each other and music
has been designed because the target audience are more likely to listen to the
music.
6. Are you able to connect your smartphone service all over the world?
The smartphone is unable to connect to the internet unless the internet service
provider provides the access to the internet worldwide in any country.
7. Can you access your smartphone facilities anywhere else?
If the smartphone has settings facility only then the user can access the
smartphone anywhere else.
Any other constraints:
Cost:
The smartphone iPhone 6 is quite expensive for the target audience because it has
many features and it is also fully protected from the viruses. The clients can
manage to buy this smartphone by buying them on the contracts. Contracts are for
12 or 24 months clients have to pay the few amount every month for the 12 or
24months depends on the cost. If its 16GB the price will start from £500, the cost of
the smartphone depends on the GB the more the GB the more it costs.
Unit 6
Creating Digital Graphics
Assignment 3 (2C.D3)
Refine assets to create two high-quality digital graphic products.
Refining is to make something pure or improve something, especially by removing
unwanted material.
Improvements based on user feedback are to consider how the digital graphic products
could be improved. Improvement of able to put the smartphone in the created smartphone
box, clear information on the adverts, appropriate icons in the alternative solution, able to
see at least four icons, minimum features of smartphone designed on the smartphone,
connect your smartphone all over the world and access your smartphone facilities
anywhere else.
Zobia Ghouri 211594
Clients’ requirements and review
Advert 1 (Sony Xperia Z5)
Advert 2 (iPhone 6)
Final box design
Alternative solution
After the improvements have been made the graphic products meet the clients’
requirement above.
The advert about Sony Xperia Z5 has met the client requirement because it explains all
the specs and everything which is necessary to sell the smartphone which will help the
target audience to work on. The advert about iPhone 6 explains the purpose and target
audience needs for this smartphone.
Final box design has been designed by measuring each side and size of the box and the
phone so that it can fix into the box. Some background has been removed because it
was unnecessary. It has met the client requirement as it has especially designed for the
particular smartphone.
At the end, alternative solution has been created so that the user will come to know
about the smartphone and its features. Four more useful and attractive icons have been
designed to grab the attention of buyer.
In conclusion, I would like to say that after the improvements all the original
requirements have met the client’s requirements.
Unit 6
Creating Digital Graphics
Assignment 3 (2C. D4)
Evaluate the initial designs and the final graphic products and justify any changes made,
making recommendations for further improvement.
There wasn’t any facility in the original design to access the internet. As we know, we can
connect to the internet only, if the internet service provider provides the access to the
internet. We can connect to the internet as long as there is an internet connection
available. User can only access their smartphone anywhere else if the smartphone has
setting facility, so made the changes. Users can have now the setting facility and they can
connect to the Wi-Fi where there is an internet connection available.
Some recommendation for further improvement is addition of setting icon in the
smartphone (alternative solution).
Zobia Ghouri 211594
With settings icon user will find the Wi-Fi sign which shows that iPhone is connected to the
Internet over a Wi-Fi network. The more bars, the stronger the connection.
Smartphones are very expensive which might have disadvantage but they can manage to by
buying them on 12 or 24 months contract which means they have to pay every months until
their contract finishes. The cost of the smartphone depends on GB the more the GB the
more it’s expensive.
Both adverts have explained all the specs and everything which is necessary to sell the
smartphone. So, there is no need to make any improvements.
Conclusion:
At the end, I would like to say that I have made some improvement to the graphic products
in order to meet the client’s requirements. Adverts and final box design don’t need any
recommendations and improvements because they are fit for the purpose.
