Our name patron is Milo (German: ‚Milon‘) of Kroton, a classi-cal hero who won countless victories as an athlete in Olym-pia. His intention to succeed and his consistency in achieving sporting aims were legendary. Through innovative training methods he achieved these aims faster, thereby correspon-ding to the ideal of Greek body culture.

This heritage rests with us at milon – and we reinterpret it to apply to the present. Using state-of-the-art training concepts we give people the possibility of successful training and de-velopment of a better body image. This legacy of one of the greatest of ancient Greek sportsmen both motivates and ob-ligates us, and is the origin of our mission of making people happier.

Making training more effective and simple has always been our driving force. This is why we were the world‘s first manu-facturer to invest in electronically controlled training equip-ment. About 15 years ago milon rediscovered and reinterpreted the principle of circuit training. Arranging the equipment in a cir-cuit and using a set alternation of intensive training phases with short recovery phases facilitates effective and time-sa-ving training. Using a circuit, a wide range of training objec-tives can be achieved quickly and lastingly. And incidentally, circuit training is fun and creates more variety than traditional strength or endurance training. The circuit promotes social contact and those doing training motivate each other.

The milon circuit is also a great concept for studio operators with strong commercial impact. A maximum of through-put is possible at a minimal space requirement. A higher support and service level can be achieved with even less staff. This in turn increases customer satisfaction, and fluctuation decrea-ses. The milon circuit thus combines two essential factors for happiness: optimal training and optimal utilization.

STRENGTHENDURANCE CIRCUIT.

The Strength Endurance Circuit is the first stage in the milon circuit concept. It exercises the cardiovascular system and all the main muscle groups. Six strength machines and six cardio machines are arranged in a circle around a timer, which after a prescribed period of time issues a signal to switch machine. A training session only lasts 17.5 minutes.

STRENGTH CIRCUIT.

Building on the Strength Endurance Circuit, the next step of-fered is the milon Strength Circuit. Depending on the training objective it is based on six to twelve strength machines, and serves to strengthen specific muscle groups. The modular make-up of the equipment allows realisation of various trai-ning objectives. Frequently used variants are the ‚Lady Cir-cuit‘, with a focus on stomach, legs, buttocks and the ‚Back Circuit‘, for strengthening the back musculature and thus las-ting pain relief.

CARDIOCIRCUIT.

The milon Cardio Circuit is the logical continuation or our cir-cuit system. It comprises three items of apparatus per unit (Ergometer, Crosswalker, Stairs Vario) and can be extended to up to four units.

Our Cardio Circuit offers more variety and intensity than tra-ditional endurance training. It allows two types of high-inten-sity training (HIT): interval training with 4-minute pacing (for anaerobic endurance) or basic training with 10-minute pacing (for aerobic endurance). Pacing is by means of a digital clock in the middle of the circuit.

HEAlTHY SPIRIT OF ENGINEERINGFOR HEAlTHY BODIES.

Insert chip card and immediately start training – this is the simple principle applied by our electronically controlled mil-tronic equipment. It makes it so comfortable and safe. The training sequence is prescribed from the word go, and the range of motion (ROM) is automatically restricted. ‚Wrong‘ training is thus rendered impossible.

ELECTRonIC RESISTAnCEWith miltronic equipment, resistance is electronically gene-rated. The advantage of this is that the muscle can be given different loads in the concentric and eccentric areas. The re-sistances can be separately set in 1 kg steps. The adapted load makes training up to 30% more effective. Also even more spe-cific and individual forms of training like isocinetic training or adaptive training are possible.

mEmoRY FUnCTIonAs soon as the chip card is inserted into the display the equip-ment automatically sets to the pre-stored body dimensions – precise to the nearest millimetre, the predefined resistance values are called up and set for the training. Incorrect operati-on is thereby practically excluded. The person doing training needs do nothing further, and can begin immediately. And the trainer has more time for individual supervision, instead of worrying about equipment settings.

InTERnET-BASED DATA mAnAGEmEnTThe state-of-the art milon CARE software networks the ma-chines and facilitates Internet-based data management. Personal training data and training plans plus individual equipment settings are stored on a server (either on a local server in the studio or centrally on the milon cloud), thus all data is available at any time on any Internet-enabled end ter-minal (PC, smartphone, tablet PC). Training sequences and results can be called up and shared with other people, e.g. using social media.During the training, real-time transmission of the training va-lues to the server and thus to the trainer permits optimum supervision of the person doing training.

MILON TECHNIK

The milon CARE software is the ‚brain‘ of our electronic trai-ning equipment. It controls the entire equipment functionali-ty, i.e. equipment settings and resistance regulation. But milon CARE is also the perfect instrument for training control. Indi-vidual training plans can be set, and adherence to them can be checked. Results of training are logged and statistically evaluated. Light-hearted comparisons, e.g. amongst friends or between entire facilities to promote motivation, are simp-le. But milon CARE also offers a comprehensive supervisory system that the trainer can use to address customers indivi-dually and specifically. The software recognises the training behaviour (frequency, regularity and quality of implementa-tion) and/or progress of training, knows the objectives of the person doing training and important data on them (birthday,

duration of contract etc.) and gives the trainer the relevant information, allowing him targeted communication with the customer. With milon CARE various equipment configura-tions can be connected to form a network. That applies both to all milon equipment series, i.e. especially to miltronic but also to the mechanical series milcanic, and to equipment of other makes, provided it has a digital interface. milon CARE thus becomes a complete training-management system.

Using API interfaces, milon CARE is of course compatible with all the current studio-management programs.
