Create App – Create App Flow
• Now that you have created Form for your Vacation Request App.You can now create a Flow for your App.
• Click on ‘Flows’
Create App – Create App Flow
• The Flow designer opens up with Start action already placed.
• This action connects your trigger to the flow and makes all data entered in the form available to the flow
Create App – Create App Flow
• Hover the mouse on top of the shape to highlight the options available.
• You can do the following• Add a shape- Rhombus,
Square or a Circle. • Add a connector if needed• Go to properties• Delete shape
• Click on the diamond shape and drag and drop.

• Hover the mouse on top of the rhombus and click on properties
• Rhombus lets you configure any rule in your app flow.
Create App – Create App Flow
• Name it ‘Get Days’
• We will use this shape to configure the following Rule.
• If Number of Days is greater and or equal to number 5 then Manager Approval is needed ElseApproval is not required.
• The form fields and submission context is available in the drop down

• Add a Square Shape to the flow.
• The square shape can be used to configure an action either performed by a Human OR automated

• Click on the on the edit icon to configure output paths out of the rule we configured previously
• Note that both the outputs we configured in the rule are available.
• Configure ‘Needs Approval’ output

• Edit properties as shown
• Here we will configure the properties for the approval when ‘number of days’ are greater than or equal to 5.

• Select ‘Perform Task’ from the activity type drop down.

• Fill in the ‘Activity Name’ and Description as shown and click ‘Save’

• Configure Task Assignment properties
• You can either assign the task by typing the first 3 characters of the user name And/or through a rule
• OR you can assign task to a Task Pool

• In case of multiple Users configured to act on this task, you can also mention the minimum number of users required to complete this task
• You can set up due date and reminders for the task

• Click on the ‘Configure Task’ Tab
• Configure the action buttons which needs to be available for the user to complete this task

• Note that ‘On Hold’ action button is not a completion marker. Clicking on this button will not complete the task for the user
• Manager Comments is enabled so that the manger can use this field to provide his comments.

• Click on the ‘More’ Tab on the top
• You can use the form data by selecting the select variable drop down to access the context as shown.
• Click on the field which you want to add to Subject and Body
Create App – Create App Flow
• Configure the subject and body of the Tasks as shown.
• The same text for subject and body will be available in the email as well for the user when send notification alert is set to Yes
• Click ‘Save’

• Add another Square after the Get Days Rule.
• Configure the output as ‘Auto Approved’

• Select ‘Send Update’ from the dropdown.
• In this activity we will configure an update to be sent to the user on Auto Approval.
• Click Save.

• This time for assignment, add a rule.
• Assign this task to the users where• Name is equal to Name
• You can use select variable to access the form data.
• Click ‘Save’
Create App – Create App Flow
• Complete the App Flow with Rejection paths and HR approval as shown.
• Click on Next to save the flow and publish the App
Create App – Create App Flow
• Click on Publish to publish the Vacation Request App.
• When editing the app, you can publish as a new version Or update exiting updates.
