DESCRIPTION

Improve Your Online Success Through Compelling Social Media Strategies You tweet, have a Facebook fan page, and Flickr and YouTube accounts. However, your presence is scattered across the Internet. How do you create an integrated online “home” where all of your marketing channels live happily, side by side? Find out how to create a seamless and highly interactive website that pulls together various social media channels into one easily-accessed place. Get tips on search engine optimization (SEO) and easy navigation that will impact your website’s success. You will learn: • Why it is important to gather your various social media efforts and put them in one easy-to-access place. • How to listen to fans and interpret what they need. • How to create an interactive website. • How to set up a customizable Flickr feed. • How other factors (SEO, easy navigation, etc.) determine your website’s success. Why it is important to regularly update information. Instructor For more than a decade, The Mechanism’s founding partner and creative director, Dave Fletcher, has explored a wide range of media, including print, video, photography and interactive design. He has developed brand identity systems, promotional materials, environmental graphics, and packaging and publication designs. He also has created integrated websites for clients, including musical duo and stars of HBO’s “Flight of the Conchords;” top New York real estate firm, SL Green; and the Italian Trade Commission. As a leader in the Web design profession, he has earned recognition from numerous creative associations and publications, including AIGA, HOW Magazine, and I.D., The International Design Magazine. His work is featured in the book, “The Secret Life of Logos,” by Leslie Cabarga. His philosophy of information delivery through the creative process has been discussed in international business publications, including Office.com and Information Week. Fletcher was a featured judge in HOW Magazine’s Interactive Design Annual, and I.D., The International Design Magazine’s Interactive Media Design Review. He has spoken extensively as a keynote and general session speaker, and has participated in panel discussions for HOW Magazine, AIGA, and The New School in New York City.
