The CSE/Court Data Element Library consists of data elements that were defined in their respective communities (1NIEM and 2CSE). These data elements were adopted and resulted in the creation of two primary documents for the CSE and Court/Judicial data exchange: Request for Remedy and Order. The 3CSE/Court Data Element Library consists of the universe of data elements that can be used for data exchanges between CSE and court systems.

An 4Information Exchange Package (IEP) contains the specific data elements needed to complete a CSE/Court transaction. The IEP uses selected data elements from the 3CSE/Court Data Element Library.

An example of a court 5scheduling IEP is shown.

Initial Request for Remedy Schema

This data model (schema) defines the data elements that may be required when a child support office needs to submit a Request for Remedy to the court. This data model is divided into Sections and Components. A Section contains a series of Components that describe a specific entity. For example, the Petitioner Section contains the Name, Contact, Social Details, etc. which describe a petitioner. A Component contains the specific data elements that will contain the actual values that describe the petitioner. For example, the Name Component contains First Name, Last Name, etc.

The following sections in this document list the Data Elements contained in each of the Sections and Components in this model.

Representing the data in the hierarchical forms of Schema, Sections, Components, and Data Elements provides different levels of detail of a message exchange. These representations help administrators and systems developers when discussing, defining and developing a message exchange.

3

Property Definitions

The following descriptions refer to the Initial Request for Remedy schema diagram. Document Sections refer to a collection of sub concepts that are grouped together to describe a single concept e.g. Child. Components are sub concepts that describe the data elements within each sub concept. e.g. (Child) Name. Elements are the specific data elements within each sub concept.
