The Variety Cruise Experience Enjoy a harmonious balance between traditional cruising and private yachting, along with an exciting voyage of discovery, unraveling the wonders of Classical Greece. Each day you will discover a new port of call, a hidden cove with crystal blue waters to cool you,

a glimpse of ancient history to amaze you, and rich cultural diversity to intrigue you.

Safety on the Harmony V The latest addition to the Variety Cruises fleet, the HARMONY V, is a 183 ½ foot-wide Mega-yacht launched in July 2009. The HARMONY V complies with EUROSOLAS safety regulations, ISPS (International Ships Port Safety Code) ISM, (International Safety Management), while its powerful engines, generators and state of the art twin stabilizers will allow for safe and comfortable cruising.

Life on Board The HARMONY V is a modern Mega-yacht with a sleek high-tech look very similar to the private yachts to be found in the famous ports of the world. Life on board will center around the Bar Lounge and Dining Room at the Main Deck and at the Sun Deck Bar where meals are served “al fresco” depending on the weather and the ship location. The classy dining room and the adjoining cozy bar lounge are surrounded by large windows providing beautiful views of the ports of call. It accommodates all guests in one single seating and provides a high standard of cuisine, always with some local flavour. The Sun Deck is the ideal place to bask under the sun, read a good book or just gaze at the scenery. The swimming platform on Harmony V stern will allow for easy access to the ship and for a wide range of sea related activities. Service on board is provided by your Captain, the Cruise Coordinator and your

experienced Marine and Hotel crew members. Service will be attentive or unobtrusive according to your requirements and priority is always given to the safety and comfort of passengers. Organized excursions are included.

The Cabins on Harmony V The 25 cabins of the HARMONY V are located on the Main deck (9 cabins) and on the Upper Deck (16 cabins). All cabins are premium and contemporary, decorated with soft colour furnishings. Cabins are comfortable and average size is 135 sq feet. All 16 cabins on the Upper Deck offer flexible bedding configuration, which can be set to offer either two twin beds or a double bed. The 9 cabins at the Main Deck consist of 6 double bedded cabins and of 3 twin bedded cabins (no flexible bedding arrangement). All cabins offer large windows and en suite bathrooms with shower and elegant Corian finishing on walls and floors. The cabins are equipped with flat screen TV sets, DVD players, music channels, mini fridges, hairdryers, individually controlled A/C and safe deposit boxes.

DAY 9 Wednesday, Nov 14/2012 Cairo/Alexandria / Embarkation Beyond Cairo, the delta spreads out like a giant flower head segmented by branches and channels of the Nile. The delta plain is fertilized by tons of alluvial deposits from the river and is cultivated with such care that it looks like a vast kitchen garden. Cotton, rice, fruit, vegetables and flowers constitute the wealth of this region. Alexandra the Great founded the city of Alexandria and for several centuries, its lighthouse, the first ever in the world, cast its light over the Mediterranean Sea. Alexandria provided a refuge for one of the most famous passionate love affairs of all time, that of Anthony and Cleopatra. This afternoon we visit the Palace of El-Montazah,theCatacombsofKomElShokafaandtheCitadelofQaitbeybeforeboardingourfivestarmega-yacht,theHarmonyV. DAY 10 Thursday, Nov 15/2012 Port Said / Suez Canal Today we reach Port Said, founded as a working camp for those involved in building the Suez Canal. Originally, American’s very own statue of Liberty was to be placed not in New York but at Port Said. The Statue of Liberty was inspired by the huge statues at Abu Simbel. Auguste Bartholdi, the sculptor of the statue, designed the American Lady of Liberty as ‘Egypt carrying the light of Asia’. However, the Khedive Ismail decided that the project was tooexpensive, so the ‘Light of Asia’ was sent to the US instead, where she became the Statue of Liberty. Sit back and relax as we travel through barren desert, taking a short cut from the Mediterranean Sea to the Red Sea and Asia, as we traverse the artificial sea-level waterway, the Suez Canal. Opened in November 1869, it allows water transportation between Europe and Asia without navigating around Africa. The northern terminus is Port Said and the southern terminus is Port Tawfik at the city of Suez where we spend the night at Movenpick Resort Petra. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner)

DAY 11 Friday, Nov 16/2012 Suez Some time this morning to walk around Suez, and following lunch we have a short excursion to St. Antony’s Monastery and its neighbour St. Paul’s that are the oldest monasteries in Egypt. Both are Coptic Christian monasteries and are hidden deep in the Red Sea Mountains, relying on springs for their water supply and both still observe rituals that have hardly changed in 16 centuries. St. Paul is said to have lived until the age of 113. We return to our ship this afternoon when we set sail for Hurghada. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner)

DAY 12 Saturday, Nov 17/2012 Hurghada We reach Hurghada about 11 am this morning. It seems a long time since Hurghada was nothing more than a small fishing village and modest shipyard ignored by the rest of the world, including the Egyptians. In fact, it is only in the last ten years that Hurghada has grown into a town of 35,000 inhabitants to become the most popular seaside resort in the country. Free time to explore on your own the many shops and the Red Sea for the balance of the day. Our yacht remains in the harbour this evening so you are free to enjoy some nightlife here this evening. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner)

DAY 13 Sunday, Nov 18/2012 Sharm El Sheikh We depart early morning to sail across the Red Sea to the seaside resort town of Sharm El Sheikh. The desert comes to an abrupt end at the Red Sea, where exquisite coral reefs provide a fine underwater playground for divers and snorkellers from around the world. The Red Sea has one of the highest amounts of marine life in all the tropical seas. The long beaches of fine sand make this a charming town. We have an excursion today to St. Catherine’s monastery, isolated and protected by the surrounding majestic mountains. The monastery is built around the Chapel of the Burning Bush which dates to the 4th Century A.D., and is said to be built on the site of the original burning bush – tradition holds that the bush is the very bush from which Moses spoke to God. The monastery lies at the foot of the mountain where Moses is said to have received the Ten Commandments and is one of the oldest Christian monasteries and smallest diocese in the world. We learn about St. Catherine and visit the Church of the Transfiguration here. Returned to our ship for dinner this evening and after sunset, you can tour the shops and cafes, which are open late in this port. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner)

DAY 14 Monday, Nov 19/2012 Taba / Aqaba Today we sail along the coast making a stop in Taba, whose exceptional geographical location between Africa and Asia and the head of the Gulf of Aqaba make it a favorite destination for Israelis. We reach Aqabaearlyevening.NowweareenteringtheKingdomofJordan-aland of dramatic beauty, from the stunning desert expanses of the Wadi Rum to the crystalline shores of the salt-laden Dead Sea. We spend the next two night moored in Aqaba. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner)

DAY 15 Tuesday, Nov 20/2012 Aqaba Our morning is free to explore Aqaba and enjoy their duty free shopping or the local old souq filled with souvenirs. Another option, the Royal Diving Centre, is located just south of Aqaba. With a private beach beside a superb reef, this is the best-run snorkeling and diving centre in Aqaba, offering equipment rentals, lessons, dives and diving tours. This afternoon we depart for the Wadi Rum, a series of valleys about 2 km wide and 130 km long. Dominating the central valley is the epic mountain of Jebel Rum. You can explore the Wadi Rum by foot, camel, horseback or jeep: we have chosen jeeps. Sitting under the stars tonight, we enjoy a dinner baked in the sand at a local Bedouin camp. Back to our deluxe accommodation on board the Harmony V to sleep! (Breakfast, lunch and dinner)

DAY 16 Wednesday, Nov 21/2012 Disembarkation / Petra Say farewell to our crew and our mega yacht this morning as we disembark and head to the glittering Jewel in Jordan’s crown, the legendary rose city of Petra – voted one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.
