There were two snowmen in my front yard when I went to sleep last night. Now, when I look out into my front yard, I only see one. I cannot figure out why this snowman is gone. Where did it go? Did it melt? Did someone scoop him up and take him away? I have a theory. I think that my snowman came to life overnight and wandered off. Maybe he went to go play some snowmen games. Maybe he went to go find new snowman friends. Or maybe he wanted to find a new yard to sit in. All I know is that I’ll be looking in my neighbors’ yards every day until I find him. 1. What would be a good title for this story?

There was a penguin in the North Pole who loved to play jokes on his penguin friends. In the North Pole, all that the animals wanted to do was to spot a whale. They loved whales. They thought they were fascinating animals, but they didn’t get to see them very often. This penguin, named Pauly, loved to tell his friends every day that he saw a huge whale in the ocean. Pauly would yell, “Whale!” as loud as he could and all of his penguin friends would run to him to see the whale. However, when they got there and saw there was no whale, they would get quite upset with Pauly. He did this for two weeks straight and every time, his friends got really upset. One cold morning, Pauly went to collect his food for the day. When he looked out in the ocean, he saw a huge whale jump out of the water. Pauly yelled “Whale!”, but no one came. He ran closer to their huddle and yelled “Whale!” again, but his friends just looked at him and rolled their eyes. He couldn’t figure out why they wouldn’t believe him!

There once lived a polar bear who liked to sit at the edge of the ice and water. He would watch for fish every single day. He did not want to get the in the water because he thought it was way too cold, even though he was covered in thick fur. So, the polar bear sat at the edge of the water waiting for fish to swim by. The only problem was that there were never any fish swimming near him. That didn’t stop the polar bear from sitting at the edge every single day waiting for a tasty fish snack. 1. Martin Luther King Jr. is a very important person for the history of the United States. He was a man who peacefully fought for equality, which is the thought that all people are equal, no matter what skin color they are.
Martin Luther King Jr. was born in Atlanta, Georgia. When he was born, there was a lot of hatred between races. Martin Luther King Jr. didn’t like this hatred, so he decided to stand up for what he thought was right. During the 1950’s and the 1960’s, MLK Jr. gave many speeches, led many boycotts, led marches, and many other nonviolent ways to protest racism.

Winter Winter Weather Weather in the winter can be very dangerous. Some of the reasons that it can be dangerous is because snow and ice on the roads and sidewalks make it harder to drive and walk. Freezing temperatures can also harm people if they are outside too long. Winter Sports Some people really enjoy the winter because of the activities they can do. One of the zoo’s most popular attractions is the giraffe feeding exhibit. The zookeeper named Jill feeds the giraffes once an hour. She also lets a few lucky children feed the giraffes. This is such a fun time at the zoo. The children come to visit her each day. One day, Jill was home sick, so there weren’t any giraffe feedings. Much to the zoo visitors’ surprise, the giraffes still came up to the gate and wanted food. One brave giraffe named Jeffrey bent his neck over the gate and sniffed around for food. Jeffrey stuck out his purple tongue and reached into a bucket to grab a handful of food. The children thought this was too funny!
