Situation

The percentage of people with access to safe water in the sub Saharan country of Uganda is unacceptable and leads to a huge burden on the country’s ability to move forward in development.

Over 10 million Ugandans do not have access to safe water and 52% of people are without sanitation. Infant mortality stands at 99 in 1,000, and 26,000 children under the age of five die every year die from diarrheal diseases.Reference: Water Aid & New Vision Website
