I had the honour of playing 3 holes with Greg Norman

at Pelican Waters. After 3 or 4 Spud shots I asked Mr

Norman what I could do to improve my game. He

advised me to take up tennis.

Probably not a hobby but I get a lot out of the time Ispend with Blazeaid.

Seriously with all the advancements in club and balltechnology I really don't think you can place a tag like thaton any one golfer. Male or Female. However if you wereto ask me after an hour in the clubhouse I wouldprobably say me on at least one hole.

Woodford Golf Club is seeking an energetic and motivated individual to carry out various cleaning duties for the clubhouseand surrounds. HOLE IN ONES FOR LAING ANDBRITTENA massive congratulaions to Nathan Britten and Neville

Laing on achieving a "hole in one" last month. Nathan

managed to hole out on the 17th during competition at

Woodford Golf Club, hitting the perfect iron shot which

eventually found the bottom of the hole. Neville was able

to triumph the monster 206m par 3 6th, by knocking a

crisp 3 wood which rolled and fell into the hole. What a

tremendous accomplishment these gentleman have

achieved and we hope you can add another one to the

collection.

Just a friendly reminder that in order to keep ourcourse in tip top condition, Woodford Golf Club

needs all members to fill in divots and repair pitchmarks on greens. The club is asking that each

person should fill in at least 2 divots and repair 2pitch marks a round that aren't theirs. Sanitised

buckets are also found outside the proshop.

Alternative to Stroke and Distance for Lost Ball orBall Out of BoundsWhen a player's ball has not been found or is known orvirtually certain to be out of bounds, the player mayproceed as follows rather than proceeding under strokeand distance. For two penalty strokes, the player may take reliefby dropping the original ball or another ball in this reliefarea (see Rule 14.3): Two Estimated Reference Points:(a). Ball Reference Point: The point where the originalball is estimated to have: Come to rest on the course(see diagram below), or Last crossed the edge ofthe course boundary to go out of bounds.(b). Fairway Reference Point: The point of fairway of thehole being played that is nearest to the ball referencepoint, but is not nearer the hole than the ball referencepoint.

FOOTY TIPPING RESUMES

RULE OF THE MONTH

As most of you already know, the NRL are due to restart the season this coming

Thursday, the 28th of May. Woodford Golf Club will be resuming the footy

tipping competition with all tips needing to be completed before the first game

of the round each week. More details will be released over the next couple of

weeks, but for now study the form guide like you're studying a medical finals

exam! Go Broncos!
