The crazies poster

colour

The colours used in this poster are very dull, yet not the

conventional black, white and grey. There is a green like

colour scheme but as noted it is dull, adding to the

negative horror atmosphere. The red text represents

the violence side of the film.

text

The text is all In one corner, this looks very artistic and

professional however because It is not central it will not

catch the audience’s attention. This posters also

addresses the audience by telling them to ‘fear thy

neighbor’ in a white text. The white and red text stands

out and fits the colour scheme.

The entire poster is taken up by one image, which fits

with the horror genre. The image will tell the audience

immediately what genre the film is, because of the

blood coming from the fork.

layout

The layout of the poster is ok, it Is basically just an

image with text in the corner. To the eye the layout is

very pleasing, and because of the colour of the text The

actual title is much more visible.

Lighting

The shadows of the character are really effective

because it makes it looks like the character is above the

viewer/audience and they are below him, therefore

creating more of a frightening atmosphere. The shadows

are very dark which also adds to the eerie effect.
