INTRODUCTIONThe IMT Crane and Vehicle Log is designed as a convenient and precise method of recording inspections, tests, maintenance, repairs, revisions and modifications to your IMT crane. Use this log to keep a completeand accurate machine history and as an aid in maintaining the vehicle and crane in safe operating condition. It should be considered as a standard part of the crane, and as such, transferred with the crane to any newowner of the crane. It should also be available to any local, state or federal inspectors responsible for insuringcompliance with codes applicable to your equipment.
This log provides entry charts for daily, weekly and monthly inspections. It also provides charts for therecording of accidental crane damage, and repairs made due to that damage, and a chart for lubrication andmaintenance performed on a scheduled or unscheduled basis. Inspect your new crane, vehicle and craneequipment before it is put into operation. Inspect to the frequency indicated on the daily, weekly and monthlychecklists.
Specific inspection information is contained in the IMT Operator’s Crane Safety Manual (IMT part number99900313) and the manuals applicable to your specific model of crane. Consult those manuals for informationconcerning specific inspection descriptions, torque values and maintenance procedures.
On the front cover of this log are areas to insert calendar year, crane model designation, crane serial number, carrier vehicle model, VIN and the name of the person ultimately responsible for the information entered.Enter this information for concise reference to your equipment and keep this log in a safe place with theequipment it is applicable to.
