Battle Crane 21.5BCNC1500

Description The Battle Crane is a portable floor crane that can be set up, taken down and oper-ated by one person. It only requires 55 lbs. of pulling force to move the crane on a smooth, level concrete surface. But do not let its compact size fool you. Although the Battle Crane folds to very small dimensions (7-7.625(L) 7(W) x 5-1.625(H)) and weighs less than a ton (1,611 lbs.), it is de-signed to withstand extreme operational environments and is constructed of stainless steel material. The crane has a Maximum Vertical Reach of 9 and a Maximum Height of 21-6. The capacity of the crane is 1,500 lbs. at maximum reach.

Crane Components Lower StructureThe X Factor:

The lower structure consists of four(4) telescopic outriggers that form an X shape. Each outrigger is fitted with a shock-absorbing caster with foot-operated brake, and a leveling jack. The are 4 pad eyes welded to the X frame for securely tying down the crane during shipment . A spring-cushioned towing bar will be provided that can be pinned to the side of the frame when not in use. The fourth leg of the X frame is a foldable outrigger that has a height clearance of 7. This allows the leg to operate un-der aircraft or other vehicle frames with low clearance.

Telescopic Boom:

The boom of the crane has four(4) telescopic sections and a foldable davit arm mounted to the tip of the last section. The extension and retraction of the boom is ac-tuated by a hand-cranked winch. The rotation of the crane is controlled by a slew bear-ing with a hand-cranked gearbox drive. A mere 8 lbs of pressure is all that is required to rotate the crane. Luffing of the boom is accomplished by use of a gearbox-driven jackscrew. The load winch is mounted at the back of the lower boom and is identical to the hand-crank winch that operates the extension and retraction of the boom. The wire rope from the winch is reeved inside of the boom. All of the sheaves are made of cast nylon, which will increase the service life of the wire rope.
