Hi Everyone

PJ - Buddies Day - This was such an exciting day at CEPS yesterday with so many staff and students wearing their PJ’s to school as part of our ‘Backpacks for Beds’ fundraising activity. The response from our school community has been overwhelming and I am excited and grateful to report the school raised an impressive $1700.40. These funds will provide 15 backpack beds for the homeless in our community. Congratulations to our students, staff and families for your generous support and thank you to Mrs Whitely, Miss Anderson and Miss van Bakel for supporting our Student Representative Council (SRC) in organising this event.

I am including a note we received from a parent this morning: Please accept this extra donation. I think it is such a wonderful cause plus I’m wearing my PJ’s too! From Mathinna.

The City of Casey - Parking Around Schools Safety Forum to be held on Friday 19th July at Bunjil Place. School Council approved the Finance Sub Committee Report detailing school income, expenditure and

events occurring in the learning spaces since the last meeting. The Parents Association presented their report focusing on attracting additional parent support. Ideas

included creating a student centred video clip and staff speaking to parents prior to the next meeting. The Uniform Sub Committee is conducting a review of school uniform and discussed reviewing the current

Student Dress Code and surveying students for input into the new Student Dress Code. The Principal discussed the Education State Targets and improvement in Student Attendance. Remember

every day at school counts! The School Council conducted a self-assessment of effectiveness to identify any areas for improvement. During the mid-term holidays, Cushman & Wakefield will conduct a deep clean of the facility, inspection of

essential services, concreting and replacement of some items of furniture.

As the term draws to a close, I thank our students for their positive attitudes demonstrated towards their learning in all areas of the curriculum and for trying their very best in their work. I thank the staff at all levels for their collective work in providing care to our students and delivering the very best in learning opportunities.
