Introduction Craig Brown, PhD. I was born on May 9, 1969 in the City of Chicago. I am the oldest son and 2 nd born of four siblings. I was raised by both of my parents until my father past away in 2006. My father was a configuration manager for a large defense contractor. My mother was a devoted wife and home maker. I consider my father to be my hero. What I do not owe to GOD I owe to him. My mother taught me all the basics of life so that I would only need to depend on myself for sustenance. I earned a BS in Computer Science, BS in Mechanical Engineering, a Masters in Business from Wharton Business School and a Doctorate in Management Information Systems. Father of Three I have three beautiful children. My oldest is Craig Jr (16). My middle child is Christopher (14) and my youngest is Cami (9). Profession and career My career is made up of a combination of self employment and partnerships with other firms. I have served in the capacity of consultant for more than 20 years. In this capacity I have performed many roles with the highest level reached being Chief Technology Officer. I am currently documenting my experiences in a book that I hope will gain me access to the next and highest level of consulting. Youth Coach and Mentor Alongside my professional career I have also served in the capacity of mentor and coach to small boys and girls and young men and women in order to give back to the community what it has given to me. I pass along not only my professional experiences to try to get more African Americans interested in my field but I also help teach athletics as a way to bring mind and body into one school of thought. Staying fit is a very important part of being successful. Hobbies and other Interest As a hobby I ride motor cycles, jet skis, bowl, play basketball, jump out of airplanes and snow board. I belong to a Motorcycle Club where I am the Chapter President Clubs within the City of Houston. Personal Side of Me I am a cancer survivor and I spend a good portion of my free time mentoring youth, performing philanthropic services. I also continue to develop myself through “continuing education” and “certification” programs both within IT and Philanthropy. I currently serve as the National Vice President and National Conference Chairman of BDPA. I am responsible for assisting the National President, Marketing, Communications, Member Management in addition to other important duties.
