Long Lasting Playdough

• 1 Cup Flour• 1/2 cup salt• 2 tbsp oil• 2 tsp cream of tartar• 1 cup water• food coloring (optional)• glitter (optional)• Scented oil (optional)

1. Heat the oil in a pot.2. Remove from the heat and

add food coloring and water.

3. Stir in all other ingredients.

4. Continue to cook over low heat until mixture is firm, about 4-5 minutes.

5. Remove from heat, and set clay mixture on wax paper to cool.

6. Store in an airtight container

Bath Tub Paint

• 1 cup baby bubble bath or body wash - as long as it is clear/white

• 4 tbsp cornstarch• a few drops of food coloring• small containers with lids

1. In a mixing bowl mix together your bubble bath and cornstarch

2. Pour this mixture into 4 small containers

3. Mix a couple drops (you only want

to use a couple drops so it won't stain) of food coloring in each container

4. Paint in the tub!5. when you're done, snap

on the lid and they're ready to go for next time

Textured Paint

- Squeeze bottles - Flour- Salt- Water- Food Coloring - Large Bowls- Spoons- Funnel

1. In a bowl, mix equal parts: Flour, Water & Salt.

2. Mix well3. Add just a few drops of

coloring4. Use funnel to pour into

bottles5. Paint away – be sure to

use thick paper

Galaxy Dough

• 2 cups of plain flour• 2 cups of water with black

and blue food coloring• 1 Tbsp. of cooking oil• 1 Tbsp. cream of tartar• 1 cup of salt• Glitter • Plastic Container

1. Mix liquid ingredients in a saucepan and begin to heat liquids.

2. In a separate bowl mix dry ingredients.

3. Add to the heating liquids. 4. Stir until the dough gathers and

thickens. 5. Cook until it gets that sheen to

it. 6. Let it cool slightly and then

knead in glitter and bring proper consistency.

Homemade Sidewalk Chalk

• Toilet paper tubes• Scissors • Duct tape• Wax paper• Disposable container for

mixing• ¾ cup of warm water• 1 ½ cups Plaster of Paris• 2-3 TBS of tempera paint

1. Cover one end of each tube with duct tape

2. Line inside of tubes with wax paper

3. Pour warm water into container and mix in Plaster of Paris

4. Add paint and stir5. Fill tubes6. Let harden for three days7. Remove duct tape; let dry

several more hours to a day8. Peal off tube and waxed paper9. Enjoy

DIY Shrinky Dinks

• permanent markers• regular hole punch• #6 plastic• oven• cookie sheet covered with

aluminum foil or parchment paper

• scissors• Coloring book images

(optional)

1. Cut shapes from plastic (2/3 larger than the size of your final project)

2. Draw or trace a design onto the plastic with permanent marker

3. Color in with permanent marker

4. Punch a hole for hanging5. Lay ink side up on cookie sheet6. Bake at 350 until it curls and

then flattens back out7. Let cool, add ribbon or cord for

hanging

Water Color Paint

• 3 TBS baking soda• 3 TBS cornstarch• 3 TBS white vinegar• 1 ½ tsp light corn syrup (or

simply boil one cup sugar and 1/2 cup water until clear)

• food coloring• Small containers

1. Combine baking soda, cornstarch and vinegar

2. Add corn syrup3. Allow fizzing to subside and mix

completely4. Pour into small containers5. Add food coloring6. Allow to harden for 3 hours7. Paint away

Cloud Dough aka Magic Sand

• 8 cups of flour• 1 cup of baby oil• Bowl• Airtight container

1. Put the oil and flour into a bowl and mix together with your hands.

2. Until you end up with a mixture that resembles breadcrumbs. That's it!

3. Store in airtight bag or container
