Description :Tembakau adalah bahan baku utama yang digunakan untuk membuat rokok. Dalam proses pembuatannya, tembakaumengalami perajangan, salah satu proses yang harus diperhatikan untuk memenuhi standar kualitas.Para petanitembakau masih banyak yang melakukan proses perajangan secara manual, sehingga membutuhkan tenaga dan waktuyang lebih lama. Oleh karena itu dirancanglah mesin perajang tembakau yang dapat meningkatkan produktivitasperajangan. Pembuatan mesin perajang ini dimulai dari merancang mekanisme pisau pemotong. Mencari besarnya gayapotong (melalui percobaan), mencari besarnya elemen mesin (belt, pulley, poros dll), besarnya daya motor yang akandigunakan. Dengan motor penggerak 0,5 HP dihasilkan putaran 367,5 rpm kapasitas yang dihasilkan 948 Kg/jam(dimensi tumpukan daun tembakau 150 × 200 mm).

Description Alt:Tobacco is the main raw material used to make cigarettes. In the manufacturing process, tobacco experience chopping,one of the processes that must be considered to meet quality standards. The tobacco farmers are still many who dochopping process manually, thus requiring power and a longer time. Therefore, tobacco chopper engine designed toincrease productivity chopping. Making the chopper engine is started from designing cutting knife mechanism. Lookingfor the cutting forces (through experiment), look for the elements of the engine (belts, pulleys, shafts, etc.), the amountof power a motor that will be used. With a 0.5 HP motor produced 367.5 rpm spin generated capacity 948 Kg / h(dimensional pile of tobacco leaves 150 × 200 mm
