Itsstructureismadeupofametalframewithamechanicalrigiditythatpreservestheshapeoftheassemblyundernormalserviceconditions.
Theframe,togetherwiththerestofnon-livemetalpartsofthecubicle,isconnectedtothegeneralearthingbusbar,reinforcingthesafetyoftheinstallation.
Thecubiclesareconnectedusingabusbarinstalledintheupperpartofthecubiclesinacompartmentoutsidetheswitchcompartment.
Theswitch compartment,sealedforlife,housestheswitchingandbreakingswitchgear,wheretheinsulatingmediumisSF6gas.Builtinstainlesssteel,itisdesignedtowithstandaninternalarcofupto25kA/1s.Thegasgeneratedasaresultofaninternalarciscooleddownandcanbechannelledthroughareliefductlocatedontherearside.
Thefollowingelementsarelocatedinside,dependingonthefunctionality:
•Disconnectorandearthingswitch.
•Vacuumcircuit-breaker.
•Fuseholders(modelCPG.0-F).
Itcanbeconnectedtothebusbarandthemediumvoltagecablesrespectivelybymeansofcablebushingsatthetopandbottom.
Thegaspressureistestedbymeansofatemperature-compensatedpressuregauge,withapotential-freecontact,allowingittobeusedasaremotealarm.
Thebusbar compartment,locatedintheupperpartofthecubicle,isusedtohousethebusbar(electricalconnectionbetweenthemediumvoltagecubicles).*
eachoneofthephasesthatmakeupthebusbarhassolidandshieldedinsulation,earthedbymeansofthecompartment'sspecificearthingbar.Becauseofthissingle-phasearrangement,thecubicleoffersexcellentreliabilityintermsofservicecontinuity.

Thecable compartment,whichallowsfrontalaccesstothemediumvoltagecables,islocatedinthelowerpartofthecubicleandhasacoverthatisinterlockedwiththeearthingcircuit.
Theexternalcone-typebushingsallowtheinstallationoftoroidal-corecurrenttransformersonthem.
Thiscompartmentcanbesuppliedreadytowithstandaninternalarcinterminalsof25kA/1s,incompliancewiththecriteriaofstandardIeC62271-200.
Thebasecanhousethefollowingcomponents:
•upto4reinforcedshieldedconnectionterminals(screw-in)perphase.
•Cabletieforthemediumvoltagecables
•earthingbars.
•Toroidal-corecurrenttransformers.
•Plug-involtagetransformers.
•Surgearresters.
Alltheelementsmakinguptheenclosureareearthedbymeansofaconductorconsistingofacopperbardesignedtowithstandtheratedshort-timecurrent,allowingtoinsertorextractmediumvoltagecableswiththeircorrespondingterminationswithouthavingtoremoveit.
Thecontrol compartment,locatedintheupperpartofthecubicleandindependentofthemediumvoltagearea,ispreparedforinstallingmeteringequipmentandprotectionrelays,andcontainstheterminalblockwiththecontrolsignalsproperlyidentified.
Theconnectionswiththeoperationinterfacearemadeviaconnectors,makingtheassemblymoreflexible,andallowingthecontrolcompartmenttobeassembledandconnectedonsiteinasimpledirectway.
Theoperation interface,locatedinthecentralpart,alsoincludesacustomisedmimicdiagramforeachtypeofcubicle,theaccessesformanualoperationofthedisconnectordrivingmechanism,circuit-breaker,springloading,indicationelements,etc.

Thecopperbusbarsarepreparedtowithstandthermalanddynamicforcesofratedshort-timecurrents(25kA/1or3s)andratedcontinuouscurrents,the2typesofexistingbusbarsare:
•Option1:busbarsupto1600A/24kVorupto1250A/36kV
•Option2:busbarsupto2000Aand2500A/24kV
