Ottawa River Road Ottawa River Road CrossingCrossing• Summer 2004

• Road crossing much be trenched• Connects to existing manholes

• Will require closure of Ottawa River Road

• Simultaneous work at pump station location• Pump station construction will not cause traffic

disruption

Ottawa River Road Ottawa River Road RecommendationsRecommendations• Committee recommended closure for 7 consecutive

days to complete project• Rather than night work schedule or weekend closures

• Will eliminate raw sewage from Ottawa River

• 1st SSO eliminated under Consent Decree

• Size is 32’7” x 34’1”• This is the smallest

structure that can do the job

• Initial design concept based on station at Manhattan and Summit streets

• Point Place group providing input on design
