Cox Interior, Inc. was founded in 1983 by Charles E. Cox. Mr. Cox, his wife, and children began Cox Interior, Inc. with a dream to manufacture and create a market for poplar, oak, and cherry interior wood products as alternatives to pine.

The family started the business by manufacturing poplar, oak, and cherry interior mouldings. The immediate success of these finely crafted mouldings made it possible for Cox Interior, Inc. to expand and begin making and selling interior poplar doors. The next product niche for Cox Interior, Inc. was crafting wood stair parts, then circular and free standing stair parts. Over the last few years handmade fireplace mantels have become another tradition of the Cox Interior, Inc. family of fine interior wood products.

The latest addition of Cox Interior, Inc. is our line of handsome, solid ma-hogany exterior doors. This door catalog represents a cross section of the exterior mahogany door designs that Cox Interior, Inc. offers. In Addition to the designs in the catalog, we are able to produce custom designs to satisfy your particular build-ing needs.

Appearance and Workability Information of Wood Doors vs. Other Materials* The appearance of a wood door projects a natural custom look as opposed to a plain cold appearance of other materials.· Wood doors can be cut to size, or cut for inserts, and resealed better than other materials.· Wood is an excellent insulating material. It’s cellular structure has millions of trapped air cells that form anatural barrier against heat and cold.· Wood doors do not get as hot on the face in the summer or as cold on the face in the winter.· Wood doors are easy to plane, where as the materials would be difficult or impossible to plane.· Tests show that most air loss occurs around and not through a door.· Other materials can rust, delaminate or get an irreparable dent in it’s skin.· Most importantly: You have purchased a Cox Interior Inc. door backed by the Cox Interior Family. The best way to say welcome to my home.· Made in the USA
