February is a busy month for us at St. James! We continue to celebrate Catholic Schools Week (notice that Mrs. Heisdorffer, Mrs. Fritz, and Mrs. Sheetz and I are pretty bright like stars). We are also starting Black History Month. Each day we have different teachers assigned to reading from a book called 28 Days Moments in Black History That Changed the World. Next Friday, February 12, we celebrate Chinese New Year. We celebrate different cultures as a way to foster respect and open-mindedness for others. When we provide opportunities for our students to celebrate differences, as well as common interests, we aid in uniting each other and learning.

 Mrs. Kling

It is with a heavy heart that I inform you that Mrs. Kling has resigned as 5th grade teacher for the remainder of the 2020-2021 school year. For the past several months, Mrs. Kling has not been in the best of health. She needs time to rest and recover. We are working on finding a long term substitute teacher. In the meantime, we have Suzanne Horak for the majority of the time. In addition, Julie Timmins, Doug

At this time, we are planning that our spring concert will be a virtual event on Wednesday, May 12 at 6:30pm. More details will be coming as we get closer to May.

Weather  Our cold weather rules are as follows: 56 degrees or above: Students can choose what they want to wear outside. 55 degrees to 46 degrees: Students need to wear a jacket outside.
