ICMAD Members Helping Members Webinar Series:Clinical and Consumer Testing Impacts
March 26, 2020
Terms of use for ICMAD open forum discussions.
To support its members during the COVID-19 crisis ICMAD is providing an open forum where members can discuss challenges they are facing in their businesses and ask questions and share possible solutions with other members on the challenges they are experiencing in their respective businesses as a result of the crisis, and to share information on topics of mutual interest such as seeking SBA loans. Because many of our members are competitors we want to make sure that in the interests of trying to help each other there is not an inadvertent violation of federal or state anti- trust laws. When sharing information on the site there should be no discussion or agreements made with respect to product pricing or pricing strategies and no discussions or agreement should be made between competitors that would in any way reduce competition in any market or market segment. As for instance two competitors agreeing to restrict their marketing and sales activity to enable each of the competitors to gain greater market power in their market segments or in a particular geographical area.
By using this site you agree to abide by ICMAD’s terms of use and refrain from discussions that could lead to anti- trust violations. We also ask that while using the site you remain courteous and constructive in listening and commenting on other members points of view. We also caution forum users not to disclose any confidential information because these are open discussions and not confidential discussions. ICMAD specifically disclaims any and all liability for loss of any trade secretes as a result of participation in ay of these open forum discussions. We are all I this together and we want to emerge from this stronger and smarter and more attuned to our businesses than ever. We look forward to supporting all of you and providing information that is topical and useful. Please suggest topics which you believe are of interest. We will do our best to see that these are covered.

Market Conditions Impacting Testing
1 in 3 Americans have been ordered to shelter in place, more than 100 million people. Uncertainty in when mandate will be lifted.
Social distancing has required clinical labs to discontinue clinical trials that require physical panelist check-ins.
Supply chain disruption. Manufacturing shutdowns, samples not available for testing
Tips for Managing Current Conditions
Scenario 1: I’ve already engaged a lab for a clinical trial but the trial ison hold.
Scenario 2: We are ready to go with an IHUT test but our samples are held up at the manufacturer or in our facility.
Scenario 3: We need to stick to our product launch schedule but the clinical labs are closed.
Scenario 4: We would like to conduct nationwide consumer perception studies for claims substantiation that meets ASTM and/or ISO requirements for network TV advertising requirements.
Why IHUT Testing is a Viable Solution
Test at home in manner in which panelist would normally use the product
Maintains social distance Protocols executed to ASTM/ISO standards and for legal and regulatory risk mitigation
No work stoppage due to shipping interruptions or lab closures
Recruit a national panel, not just within a 20-mile radius of a facility
Panel compliance at nearly 100% as people are home due to concerns over the virus

“At first, I thought the straightener
wouldn't work for me since there are
no heat adjustments. I thought it may
not get hot enough. I have thick hair
and it can be hard to style. This was
not the case! It worked PERFECT for
me and I love the overall results. I
currently own a another straightener,
but I LOVE this styler so much better.
It is gentle on my hair, glides
effortlessly, and my hair looks shiny
and smooth. Overall, I would
absolutely prefer this styler over any
other straightener I have used in the
past.” —Amber W., St. Augustine, FL
My skin is noticeably tighter, reducing
the laugh lines extending from the
edges of my lips to my nose. I thought
only surgery could fix those. Also
made the lines between my eyes
much less noticeable. I've tried many
serums, including some very
expensive brands. None of them are
even close to being as effective as
TLC Framboos. I also love the
packaging. It makes it very easy to
get the same amount every time I use
it without risking contaminating the
product. —Donna B., Henrietta, TX
