Decorative Melamine FilmsCoveright is the world’s largest independent supplierof decorative melamine films. Our highly durable sur-faces are chemical, water and steam resistant.Coveright’s unique designs are attractive, easy to keepclean and strong enough to handle the knocks andscratches of everyday wear.
Flexibility in design, production and deliveryCoveright offers an extensive selection of design, colorand custom treating capabilities.
Our products are available in several sizes and achoice of superior resin technologies to meet diversepressing conditions and customer specific needs.
• White, solid colors and an extensive selection ofprinted designs
• Wide range of designs offering authentic wood grainappearance
• Custom treating capabilities
• Customer-specific sizing available in sheet and rollform
• Environmentally friendly production processes andproducts
The basis weight of raw papers ranges between 50g/m2 to 180 g/m2. Our papers feature chemical andmechanical resistance properties, and are saturatedwith Aminoplastic resins. The product is thermallyfused to wood-based composite panels, such as parti-cleboards and fiberboards, using a combination ofhigh temperature and pressure. This results in adurable surface that requires no additional finishing orprotection. Technically advanced films are available for
cross sectional view of thermally fused board
use under specific pressing conditions, and can becustomized to your requirements.
Our films are available in sheet or roll form, depend-ing on your processes. Coveright offers a choice of sheetsizes and volumes in order to provide our customerswith the greatest cost efficiencies. Rolls are typicallybetween 1,000 and 3,000 square meters, and rangebetween 200 to 600 kilograms, depending on the basisweight of paper being used.
Made for durability
Decorative melamine films are widely used by compos-ite wood panel manufacturers for kitchen and bath-room cabinets, cupboards, wardrobes, shelving, desks and other furniture applications. The marketswhere Coveright surfaces can be found include resi-
dential, industrial, automotive, transporta-tion, institutional, hospitality commercialand consumer.
Melamine provides a superior chemicaland mechanical wear resistance. Thismakes it an ideal alternative for busy areaswhere furniture is likely to undergo exces-sive use and wear and requires greater sur-face protection.
There is a significant cost saving with ourmelamine films compared to solid wood orwood veneer alternatives, due to the highcosts associated with natural and exoticwood grains.
![Page 4: Coveright broch_07](https://reader034.vdocuments.us/reader034/viewer/2022042523/568c519a1a28ab4916b34c5f/html5/thumbnails/4.jpg)
Flooring Films
options:
Underlay: TFU 092. An underlay for improved impactresistance. This can be applied to both systems.
Décor films: DMA 07 – based on 70g base paper. DMA08 – based on 80g base paper.
Coveright offers décor film (custom) impregnation. These can be used in any combination with our overlayfilms and can be applied to both overlay systems.
Antibacterial: Coveright has developed a special over-lay that provides active protection against bacterialgrowth. Tests have shown that in addition to slowingbacterial growth, it actually reduces the quantity ofbacteria.
Antistatic: One of the disadvantages of laminate floor-ing has been that, in low humidity conditions, peo-ple walking on the floor can receive a static shockwhen touching something that is earthed. Coverighthas developed a solution to this problem. A specialtreatment for both the overlay and the décor filmreduces the surface tension to below 2kV, comparedwith up to 11kV for a standard flooring film.
Veneers: TGO 2332, TGO 2632. Coveright’s range offlooring products also includes a number of over-lays specially developed for use on veneers. Theseare part of a separate product category that gives aneven better wear resistance to overlay parkett andlaminate flooring.
Leading panel makers and flooring producers world-wide choose Coveright flooring film systems for aninnovative product range backed by flexible and reli-able production and delivery support.
Made to order style and functionality
Our range of high quality products includes two floor-ing film systems designed to suit customer processesand provide outstanding aesthetic and wear-resistantqualities.
DWS, our two-in-one system, combines the proper-ties of an overlay with the aesthetics of a décor filmwhile also protecting the press plate against excessivewear.
Its single layer design makes it lighter than the tradi-tional three-layer build-up, without compromising per-formance. The weight reduction means that, especiallyfor the higher application classes (AC4 and AC5), theDWS can be used with a lighter balance film comparedto the traditional systems. The result is a wear-resist-ant, exceptionally transparent and visually attractivesolution with a favorable price-performance ratio.
Our traditional flooring system consists of a wear-resistant overlay impregnated with a melamine resin, adecorative film, and a balance film. Intensive researchand advancements in resin synthesis enable us tomanufacture overlays that are highly transparent, durable and resistant to abrasion, scratches, chemi-cals and cigarette burns. The decorative films are spe-cially designed to provide optimum transparency withthe overlay films. The melamine-based balance film, applied to the underside of the flooring panel, pre-vents the absorption of moisture, which can causewarping.
We offer flooring films in all standard abrasionclasses to suit different applications.

Technical Films
Our No Form-Oil films eliminate the need for treat-ment with form oil, which is messy, time consumingand a burden for the environment. Moreover, our NoForm-Oil films give a smoother concrete surface, sav-ing time and money in the final trimming of the sur-face.
The phenolic surface films (TPS) can be used notonly for shuttering boards, but also for non-slip sur-faces, such as truck floors, trailers, ships and oildrilling platforms.
Specially modified aminoplastic films are used inareas where appearance is very important, for exampleon billboards, as primer film for sidings and as lacquerfilm for furniture.
We have special films to glue wood to metals, espe-cially needed in the automo-tive industry.
Primer films are an idealfoundation for lacqueringwith water- and solvent-based paints.
To simplify the cleaningof press plates, we havedeveloped cleaning filmswhich help our customersavoid costly productionstops.
Coveright offers a wide range of technical films.Customers in industries such as construction, car man-ufacturing and furniture production choose our prod-ucts when durable surfaces are essential. Technicalfilms are used in many applications, such as shutter-ing boards for concrete formwork, wear-resistantboards for truck floors and interior panels for cars (fas-cias).
A broad range of solutions backed byextensive know-how and support
Coveright works closely with our customers to provideand continually develop solutions ideally suited totheir special needs. Our technical service staff haslong, solid experience of all types of applications andcan provide crucial help in the processing of film-facedboards.
Our products include technical surface films for ply-wood, OSB, MDF and blockboard; glue films forveneers and fascias; underlays for use under surfacefilms on wood-based materials; and primer films forwood-based panels, such as door skins and outdoorsidings.
The properties of our films provide resistance tomechanical stress, chemicals, moisture, heat andcracking.
In the construction industry, our technical surfacefilms are used to produce shuttering boards for castingconcrete. The film-facing allows the board to be usedfor several pours without any change in the smooth-ness of the surface.
