The success of the Cognitive Hub for Risk and compliance that was set up in August , 2016, this new centre would
help build on the work we do across the spectrum of technologties and industries, Rakesh said on the occasion.
Currently, the centre have 300 strength and it will scale up to 800 by adding another 500 by 2020, he said that we
are also planning to set up another R&D lab in Hyderabad for development of new technologies as we already have
R&D lab in Bengaluru, the first in India.
Building on its strength in the financial services is now expanding across Logistics and Real Estate, he said expanding
on Mphasis NextLabs, this new center is increasingly embarking on transformational projects, helping global
enterprises accelerate business outcomes.
Aimed at attracting and developing niche technology talent with capabilities including Data analytics, AI/ML, React
and Java technologies, Rakesh said Hyderabad is fast emerging as the leading center for tech opportunities with its
large pool of skilled talent.

The company has 20,000-strength in India and in which 50 per cent strength was working at Bengarulu centre and

with a capacity to seat 500 engineers.
“Further to the success of the Cognitive Hub for Risk and Compliance that was set up in August 2016, we opened

The firm is planning to fill up the capacity by the end of next year.

Mphasis now had a headcount of 300 in city.
“There is already demand for the seats, half of it will be filled up soon,” he said, adding by end of 2020 the company
was likely to consider another round of expansion. For now, the company was looking for operate out of both the
locations in Hyderabad.
On the India count, he said it was around 20,000 which half of that in Bengaluru. Chennai as a location for the
company was also growing going fast.
A release said the company sought to building on the strength in the financial services and now expanding across
logistics and real estate. The new centre will embark on transformational projects helping global enterprises
accelerate business outcomes. The company sought to attract and developing niche technology talent with

Mphasis sets up new facility in Hyderabad
US headquartered information technology solutions provider Mphasis on Friday launched a new and largest facility
in Hyderabad. This new facility will help the company build services across verticals with special focus on financial
services and banks. Currently, the company has about 300 people working out of its previous facility and with the
new centre in place, the company plans to take the headcount to 800 people by end of 2020.
Without disclosing investment numbers, Mphasis, CEO and director, Nitin Rakesh said, “The current headcount in
Hyderabad is about 300 and the new facility has a seating capacity of 500. And this we plan to fill by the end of
2020. Post 2020, we will be looking at expanding further in the city with the talent pool availability and government
support being the major drivers of growth. Hyderabad is fast emerging as the leading center for tech opportunities
with its large pool of skilled talent.”
In addition to expanding its workforce in Hyderabad, the company is also looking at setting up its India Next Labs in
the city. This lab will provide its internal workforce to work on cutting-edge technologies that are in demand and
also on developing newer and improved solutions for its clients. This lab is aimed at attracting and developing niche
technology talent with capabilities including data analytics, AI/ML, React and Java technologies.
Mphasis India headquarters is in Bengaluru wherein it houses about 10,000 people out of the 20,000 employees it
has in the country. The rest are divided between Pune and Chennai with the former having 5,000 employees and
the latter having 2,500 employees. Since its stake sale to Blackstone in 2016, the company has pivoted towards
cloud and cognitive solutions and has achieved 15 per cent growth in terms of revenue and 30 per cent growth in
EPS terms.

Hyderabad outshadows Benguluru in IT exports: KTR
IT Minister KT Rama Rao today said Hyderabad is surpassing Bengaluru in IT exports as the government supports IT
companies in a big way.
Along with secretary James Ranjan, the minister inaugurated Mphasis, a new software company at Rayadurgam
here on Friday. KTR asked the company and those coming up to provide jobs to local youth by conducting campus
interviews.
The new office located in Knowledge City Skyview Towers here, offers jobs to some 10,000 people on its campus.
The minister appreciated the Mphasis for its business foraying in the city which is noted for top-notch companies,
world-class IT, businesses. He also said Hyderabad has achieved 17% growth in IT sector while Bengaluru achieved 7
to 9 percent.
The State government offers hassle-free permissions, land, facilities to companies coming up with investments and
providing jobs and employment to locals, KTR said. He also attended Thundersoft IT company anniversary, which
promised to provide 850 jobs. He said China-based companies were also evincing interest to set up shops with
investments in Telangana State.
The IT Minister said the State government was committed to give a big push for IT, ITES and other businesses. He
welcomed the new companies to invest and become part of growth of Telangana State.

आईटी मंत्री केटी रामाराव ने एमफसिि सिसमटेड िाफ्टवयेर कायाािय का शुक्रवार को उद्घाटन ककया। रायदरु्ाम में नािेज सिटी स्काईव्यू टॉविा में एमकफि िाफ्टवेयर (Mphasis Limited Software) कायाािय को स्थापित ककया र्या है। उद्घाटन कायाक्रम में आईटी िचिव जयेश रंजन के अिावा अनेक व्यक्तत उिक्स्थत थे। इि अविर िर केटीआर ने कहा, "आईटी के आयात क्षेत्र में हम बेंर्िोर िे भी आर् ेहैं। एमफसिि सिसमटेड िाफ्टवयेर कंिनी और पवकाि करेर्ी ऐिा पवश्वाि है। स्थानीय प्रततभावान युवकों को प्रोत्िाहन समि ेयही हमारी अिके्षा है। तिेरं्ाना िरकार आईटी कंितनयों को स्थापित करने के सिए अच्छे अविर उििब्ध कराने को तैयार है। हैदराबाद में एक हजार युवकों को रोजर्ार उििब्ध
