The pools in the images were bothtested for ten days with no chemicaltreatment, no filtration and withsimulated use. The pool shown in theleft hand image had a stan dard solargain cover and soon went green due toalgae growth. The image on the rightshows a pool with the EnergyGuardcover with no algae growth. The testwas continued for two months and thispool still remained clear of algae whenthe test period ended.

The EnergyGuard cover can be used allyear. A test in the UK proved that it hasmany benefits as a winter pool cover.

A pool was covered with an EnergyGuardcover and a woven mesh debris coverfrom October 2008 to April 2009. Nowinter pool chemicals were used. Thewater was clear of algae after the 6month period.

The durable 500 micron pool covermaterials used for EnergyGuard, CoolGuardand Sol+Guard are formulated forclimate conditions in various continentsof the world depending on UV (ultraviolet) weathering intensity.

The Sol+Guard and EnergyGuard materialsare supplied in two UV formulations:

one for areas up to 140 kLys/yrs(Kilolangley years) and one for up to180kLys/yrs. CoolGuard is supplied forareas up to 180kLys/yrs.

The additives we use combine weatherand chemical resistant pigments withhigh performance light, weather andchemical stabilisation. The additivesused are non-toxic and registered inAustralia, Canada, China, EU, Japan,Korea, Philippines and USA.

TheEnergyGuard cover also reduceschemical degradation from photolysis.About 90% of chlorine consumed byoutdoor pools is lost due to photolysisreaction. Additional cost savings will bemade by using less pH plus/pH minus tocorrect any pH imbalance caused byalgae.
