Dear Sir/Madam,

I take this opportunity to introduce myself as XXX.I have completed my B.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kerala, India. Currently I am pursuing Post graduate diploma course in Thermal Power plant Engineering. I am seeking for a position in the Shell Graduate Programme where I can constantly gain knowledge and develop my potential.

During the course of my studies I have developed great interest in the field of Power Plant Engineering and Heat transfer . I have done project during B.Tech on ‘Analysis of Heat Treatment on AISI 1045 steel’ to find out the end results of various heat treatments on 1045 carbon steel. I have also been an active member of SAE India and have participated in Students Formula 2014.

Currently, during the post graduate diploma course, I have had the opportunity to undergo training at Neyveli lignite Corporation ltd. as a part of the curriculum. I have also undergone training on Simulator having real time and process replica of 210 MW Thermal Power Plant Unit having boiler of Combustion Engineering make and turbine of KWU design.

I am conscientious in my personal and professional life. I take pride in myself and my work, and derive considerable satisfaction from doing an assignment well. I cope well with high-stress situations and can manage a variety of projects simultaneously. I am confident that with my analytical skills, undergraduate experience and strong motivation to excel I will be able to live up to the rigors of this position.
