I'm Aravind Somasundaram, a Mechanical Engineering undergrad from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay interested in working for BlackRock. During my undergraduation I developed many skills such as multitasking, organization and analytical skills which are indispensable to excel in a corporate environment. I have a strong passion for coding and quantitative analysis. I worked at Citicorp, India during my summer where I got the opportunity to work on applications for the Treasury and Trade Solutions business unit of Citi. I have good knowledge in C++, Python and R. I have a good understanding of data structures and algorithms which I gained through a course and internship work. Apart from my technical skills I’ve also learnt many aspects of the finance such as risk management, financial markets and instruments such as futures and options. I also have knowledge in time series analysis which I gained through a non-academic project from IIT B school of management.
