Covering Message: I am a male, 22 years old, from Tenby in South West Wales.

During last year of 2015, I graduated from Cardiff Metropolitan University in the month of July, in which I graduated with a 2:1 degree in International Hospitality Management. After I graduated from Cardiff Metropolitan University, I was then able to progress onto an MSc Master’s degree in Management and International Business at Birmingham City University, in which I attained a scholarship to fund my course. The course was a January intake course which started this year in 2016. After finishing the second term, I am now looking full time jobs as I am unavailable to finish the master’s degree due to high living costs in Birmingham, although I will be looking to finish the course in the future term of my career.

I am now looking to gain more experience in the marketing, media and advertising sectors of work as it is where I see myself working, on regards to the future of my career. I have previous experience in studying marketing, entrepreneurship, finance management, human resources and strategic management at university in both Birmingham City and Cardiff Metropolitan for the past 4 years of my studies. They were very enjoyable subjects and have helped me establish my skills and experience of these sectors at a higher and more professional level. Marketing was a major module that has helped me a lot as it is the main significant sector in which I see myself working for the future of my career. Studying about how product, price, promotion, place and profit are integrated in businesses has considerably benefited me into how businesses now sell their product to gain more customers, profits and brand awareness.

Previous work experience that I have engaged with was during my 2nd year of university at Cardiff, in which my role was to be a member of the bar staff at the Cardiff and County Club situated on Westgate Street, Cardiff. The job of bar staff helped towards improving my personal skills of being more communicative and organised at the bar and also better management skills as I was held responsive in the bar when the other members were on break.

As I have now graduated from university, I have created a range of skills towards my career, which has involved picking up skills such as communication, organisation and presentation. My main goal now consists of searching for full time jobs in the marketing, media or advertising sectors and also to search for placement schemes at a business which relates preferably in the industry as well. I intend on gaining more experience and also gaining more personal skills to help on guiding me towards building better relationships with customers, managers and staff too.

My goal in 5 years is to hopefully become one of the main managers at a well-established UK or possibly a worldwide business brand, in which I would preferably like to be working in sports marketing, as I'd like to involve my personal hobbies into my job role as I would have a better understanding of the company.
